What it did was elimenate another passage about the importance of God's inerrant word. SSSubtlely.

He accused me of worshiping a book. Ridiculous. If we don't magnify God's word, Jesus Christ will not be received and worshiped.

I've talked to lost people who reject Christianity because of all the different bibles. They claim that Christians cannot even get their story straight. Confusion comes when there's more than one authority.

Then you should abandon your KJV in favour of a Tyndale version.

Will you ever learn to think through your arguments before posting them?

Not arrogant, but confident. And I never demean or cast insults.
Oh, but you do insult. When you assert others don’t believe “all” the words of God like “you” do, it is an insult. In fact it is not only a purposeful insult, it is done in arrogance, in superiority, but it is baseless.

We believe the entire message of Scripture. You cannot accept that.

Let’s not forget that you’re an open theist and hold to other damnable heresies.

Tyndale's version is second in line of the purification process, purified seven times.;)

1. 1395 Wylcliffe's Bible
2. 1525 Tydale's NT
3. 1535 Coverdale's Bible
4. 1539 Great Bible
5. 1560 Geneva Bible
6. 1568 Bishop's Bible
7. 1611 AV, King James Bible

"You have so exalted your solemn decree that it surpasses your fame." What does that statement from the NIV even mean?
I guess you'll have to "study to shew thyself approved". It's perfectly clear to me. ;)

Is it really an insult? Or is it a fact? Do you believe every word in your Bible to be the pure words of God without mixture? Not an insult, just fact.

Another bad argument, easily and repeatedly refuted. When will you learn?

There is nothing mysterious or indecipherable about the NIV verse. It makes more sense in 2020 than the awkward sounding KJ rendering.

Soooooo.....

God's word = solemn decree, that's easily understood?
surpasses your fame = your name, that's easily understood?

Wow!

The best translation is obviously the one you can understand. However there are translations that I would advise everyone to stay away from and they are the modern versions that twist scripture to conform to social norms.. I.E using different genders.

The NIV is the worst.. the message and other far out translations are also worthless. I would recommend the NASB , ESV, KJV, NKJV and if you want the easiest version in English to read that's reliable then I would suggest the NLT.

Just a question...

If those who read only the KJV , and believe that is the only true word of God , is that not like saying only KJV people are saved ?...

I have never read the KJV , but I know I am saved because my NASB tells me because it is Gods Word ...

God is amazing...
...xox...
I'm not saying that, I was saved with no bible, I was an atheist. After I was saved, I read the NIV for years.

Agreed.

On what do you base your criticism? To what do you compare the NIV that you call it "twisted"?

the message and other far out translations are also worthless.
Worthless for what, exactly? Do you understand the difference between a translation and a paraphrase? Do you understand the intent and value of each?
