Yes, So true.
But why did Jesus not spend more time with the Gentiles?
God makes Abraham a land promise:
The kingdom promise is the fulfillment of Gods unilateral, unconditional covenant pomise to Abraham (Gen 12:1-3, 15:17-18).
God make's Abraham another promise, seed/offspring:
Gen 22:
16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.
The Nation of Israel is Abraham's offspring. God gives the exact boundaries of the promised land in Num 34:1-15 (also: Deut 1:8, Ex 2:24, Ex 6:4, 8 & Ps 105:8-11)
The Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven message begins with John the Baptist: John's message, I prepare ye the way for the King Isa 40:1-11, Ps 85:9-14, Mal 3:1, Matt 11:10, Mk 1:2
Matt 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
(NOTE: The kingdom of heaven is at hand: near/in your grasp. All they had to do was believe Jesus was their long promised Messiah. And the time of restoration would have begun)
Matt 4:23 Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, "preaching the gospel of the kingdom"
(NOTE: They rejected their King. We know on the cross they were shouting we have no King crucify him. )
Acts 1:
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
(NOTE: Solomon was Israel's last King to sit on David's throne, so, the time of the gentiles begins there & will continue until God's chosen King returns & sits on Davids Throne)
Lk 1:
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
1 Corinthians 15:
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven
(NOTE: The 2nd man: Chosen by God, to become King is FROM heaven not IN heaven)
Finally, the Jews had a system that covered sin. Gentiles had nothing:
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
(NOTE: Gentiles had NO sacrificial system for dealing with sin = NO HOPE)
After a sinless Christ's sacrificial death (sins required wage paid) burial (proof he died) & resurrection (The Father's receipt, payment received & accepted.
After Christ's resurrection the message (to Jews only) changes:
Matthew 28:19 Jesus say's; Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
(NOTE: They are no longer sent just the lost sheep of Israel, but, ALL NATIONS)
It's post sin payment & resurrection when the risen Lord chooses Paul & sends him to the Gentiles.
