I think many have heard many things, and will usually just stick with what rings true to them.

The way that seems right to man (work and recieve) is different than God's free mercy which we don't deserve.....

People then confuse elements of what's true with what their natural bias sees as correct.

If we truly look without bias and ask God sincerely for truth, we learn it in His perfect time....

All you can I can do is share the truth and look to God to lead us while we never forget how much we need HIM and how we ought to always be thankful and not place ourselves above others.... knowing without Him we aren't better than anyone.....
Tragically they have already been inculcated with a false Gospel.

Very hard to lay down dogma and become like a child and start to learn again.

Dishonest again, I have no desire to hear anything more from you unless it is the truth.

I understand every verse you posted just fine and never claimed anything different.
Ultimately, when push comes to shove, they reveal how offensive they find the truth.

You don't find it rude if someone asks you what you specifically believe a verse to mean, to answer them with more verses with no personal explination?

I am not offended but I certainly expect you to answer the question of eleventh....
I come here, not to speak of myself, but of my Lord and Savior. Do not follow me, follow Him. Follow Him all the days of your life. I am sorry if my posting of Scripture offends you. Very sorry indeed.

I say I am not offended by you not taking the time to answer someone other than myself, though expected you to be a bit more willing for discussion.

You then suggest I may be offended by scripture..... dishonest
What verse do you not understand?
Then you act as if I didn't understand a verse and was seeking you for help.

You surely haven't spoken for the Lord here.

That was all fleshly and void of truth, patience, love, desire to help.....

Just subtle digs and the sidestepping of what was said.

Questionable behavior for a man your age who professes Christ.

Luke 14
14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have [sufficient] to finish [it]?
14:29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish [it], all that behold [it] begin to mock him,
14:30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
14:32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
14:34 Salt [is] good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
14:35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; [but] men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
You know I have a Bible ...why does the NOSAS crowd seem to lack the knowledge that there is meaning behind the words!

What book, chapter, passage, verse do you understand?

You know two can play this game!
All of the ones the Lord gives me understanding of. I really don't consider this a game. I have posted several dozen in the last 20 minutes.

And the meaning of those passages in context?

And the meaning of those passages in context?
They mean you must count the cost before you begin to build the house, because you cannot just live any old way you want to after you receive salvation. We must abide in the Vine which is Christ Jesus our Lord. Hold fast your profession, beloved sister.

Hebrews 10
10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of [our] faith without wavering; (for he [is] faithful that promised;)
10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Galatians 5:12
Galatians 5:12-15
12 I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

If you see correction as attacking, then deal with it.

What we need is the full Gospel and not one that has been cherry picked.
There is a difference between correction and attacking/accusing, particularly when the accusations are false.
