You crack me up, mini judge - Jesus vomits someone out of His mouth and they stay saved. Hilarious.

He who does not overcome remains saved. Good one! And on and on are the examples just from those 7 churches. Your false doctrines plug up your ears.
Keep chunking context........par for the course with you and your cronies.......and the context is church authority pal..not salvation....but carry on......we will see in the end....

I understand your position just fine by what you say and peddle......
What do I say? I share verses on making our path straight before the Lord, righteous walking of Zachariah and Elizabeth, the forgiving of sins by repentance and baptism and the word of Jesus. This is just sharing scripture and looking for its meaning.

Sounds like you are judging Gods word and His ministry, if that is all I am sharing.
It is between you are God how or why you need to do this, it is unexpected from believers.

Are you perhaps the unknown author :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky:
I have no clue why you would say such a thing.

I'm merely pointing out to you that you have injected words/ideas into a phrase which did NOT convey such a thing as you have said it did, where it had said [of that 'mere lifeless professor'], "but if he ABANDONS that outward profession..." [<--the one he has while BEING that 'mere lifeless professor'... not someone who has come to faith (which you have 'read INTO' the article-writer's words here);) ]

[I'm just ur run-of-the-mill-(ultra-nit-picky)-average-joe... I do not write articles for "Bible Truth Publishers"... I just like and appreciate those who do (from what I've read of it there)]

Click the link on my signature. I deal with over 20 of them. You can also check out Part 2. I deal with about 20 more.

In the name of Jesus.
You have already proven that context means nothing to you.....all we would find is out of context verses to peddle that which the bible does not say......

Gifts and "Calling" of God are irrevocable!

Didn't see anything concerning "salvation" though!

Am not so sure concerning the gifts! Mebbe I'm using them, not even realizing I am!

Although, via all the mocking and scoffing, not to mention "the flattery's?" so freely given out?

I must be doing something right! :)

The "Calling" of God?" I can certainly ATTEST to!

Over a period spanning some 15-20 years?

"Are you ready yet?" 3 er 4 times!

And, am certain, had I not answered "Yeah?" "I'm ready now?"

The "Calling of God" would not have stopped!

At least not while I was still "sucking air", so to speak. ;)

I can't figure out how it is "salvation" get so intertwined with the "gifts and Calling" though.

Prolly had to, upon the injecting of ALWAYS in the promoting OSAS Eternal Security superstition, eh?
it is the GIFT of GOD, not of works lest any man should boast....

Either you cannot read, cannot understand or are just obstinate because to accept the truth is to admit what you follow or who you follow is full of it!

No, it cannot PAL.......and honesty with scripture is not your forte
O, it can. Names can be blotted out of the Book of Life by Him whom I love. Who saved me out of my sins, who baptized me with His Spirit. He moves within me so that I seek Him and how He rewards those who seek Him! I love Him. He is my Master. I eat His flesh and drink His blood and yearn for the Word that comes from His mouth more than my daily bread. And I minister in His name and have seen His love in operation and the victory He won through His death and resurrection. In Him we live and move and have our being as we diligently listen to His voice. What sweet fellowship He brings us in to.

And then to listen to you barking out your fleshly condemnation just cracks me up. I wish I had more time for you.

If individuals say this with conviction and no fear, they think this is spiritual authority, not realising it testifies to the opposite and no insight whatso ever. If God does anything, we need to humble ourselves and carefully explore our hearts to discover what is going on.

Zachariah questioned an angel about John, and was silenced for just wanting confirmation.
Imagine calling those God has rejected and condemned as doomed to destruction as saved, what is actually going to happen to those who speak like this.

Not in the way he means...by his own effort.
Not by effort. By a Work of Grace. Progressive sanctification is a work of the Spirit just like everything else that pertains to salvation is.

And Progressive sanctification is not a means of salvation ( which seems to be what is argued by some) but an intent or goal that God has in saving us

Not what he means by a long shot....he preaches salvation via sanctification....WRONG
Yes, if that’s what he’s saying, it is incorrect. Sanctification of life is a desired result of salvation. This is the will of God, even your sanctification. Written to already saved people. 🙂

Can you provide a scripture that says salvation can be lost?
"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

Interesting description you are giving, "Divine life". Where are you coming from, super charismatic, wow soaked in the spirit, or deep bible study, talking the word, or praise and worship in ones time alone with God? A few sentences on a forum barely convey such variations. And the transformed life of Christ I live every day, so I wonder at your expectations, not knowing much about me or my spiritual walk.

All this is founded on is a few verse interactions. Imagine if our whole salvation was based on such things? Real messed up.
We are partakes of His nature...that is scriptural...not charismatic... and I really do not understand the rest of this post
