worship thank you for the quotes and you do seem to seek after God or Allah as you call it. but we are Christians and though I love all people and have many Muslims friends, I must tell you that I am a disciple of Jesus and the Holy Spirit resides inside my heart and the Quran does not speak of these mysteries. It can not explain the testimony of my life.

What does it say about spiritual gifts? the gift of prophecy, discernment of spirits, giving, faith, wisdom?

WHat does it call its followers to do? How does it redeem them of their sin against Almighty God or Allah? If Jesus is just a prophet as Islam states then how can HE SAVE THE WORLD?

I'm sorry as much as I know of Islam it is based on ideas of the Old testament and doing WORKS to be GOOD ENOUGH for God, but Jesus teaches something totally different.

I can not allow seeds of doubts to enter into my heart for that is how the darkness gets into our minds and corrupts our souls.

OK Worship, i hear you but I can not respond until I finish reading all the Qur'an. which I can't start until after Lent, but I will comment on this afterwards. Any Christians who have read the Qur'an have a response?

as for that verse from the Bible: the things were not STOLEN they were GIVEN by the Egyptians to the Hebrews who were leaving their land after God's demonstration of power through the plagues. therefore, the people were NOT treacherous in that instance.

But the Bible does talk about God's GRACE which is a gift from God, and not spoken about in Islam. Christians believe that is not through our works that we are saved but through grace and faith in the redemption of Jesus Christ who died for our sins and sends us the HOLY SPIRIT to guide us and help us to be more like HIM. we are not perfect but working towards loving others as God loves us and helping others because God first helped and loved us.That is the meaning of Grace and I'm not sure it is found in Islam.

Is there a concept of grace in Islam? or do you obtain salvation and rightness with God only through works?

Well, many christians talk of forgiveness so much.They say ,muslims take revenge .....well,.After 9/11 ,muslims were not forgiven...It was not sure whether they were involved in this incident or not.Afghanistan is such a barren and remote area and American security system is wonderful.But, they were punished badly.in Iraq, there were not even weapons of mass destruction but, it was destroyed...Muslims r always punished.Infact, every where muslims r in trouble and pain...And if they try to defend themselves or try to take revenge .Then, it is said,they donot forgive or they r extremists.........
some talk about God of christians or God of muslims.....Well, God Almighty is one and he is God of all people whether they r muslims or christians or jews etc.....
Well,basic teachings of different Prophets is same because God sent them and guided them.....But some people changed teachings with the passage of time...... Holy prophet Muhammed(pbuh)brought these teachings with the Will of God.And these teachings were needed badly.He(PBUH) told us,God Almighty is one.God does not have any son or daughter.He is above such things.Donot worship idols.donot kill daughters.Islam gave respect to women and gave them share in property !400 years ago and in this way provided them security...All people r equal according to Islam.Muslims were given gift of Five times prayer By God.

Fozi, now you are mixing politics with religion. Christians did not respond to the attack of 9/11, a worldly Government did. The United States is not only made of Christians, we have muslims, jews, buddhist, and many other religions in the country. Its called the 1st amendment.

therefore the concept of "forgiveness" is not in government policy but is a religious concept and ideal. In the United states we have something called "separation of church and state" which means the church does not DIRECTLY influence government policy and the government allows freedom of religious expression within reason.

Muhammed did bring a lot of good changes to the Middle East giving freedoms to women that they did not know before.

However Jesus did that as well. why a new book and not a translation? why trace the lineage down Ishmael and not Issac?
