You are here for the sake of debate, not discussion.
Actually, I'm here to offer those not directly engaged in the discussion the truth they are not hearing about the fallacy of once saved always saved. See, most in the church live in the box of their own little doctrinal constructs that their particular denomination has taught them, and they never get to hear any other possible understandings and insights of these kinds of subjects. I was like that to some extent once, though it was really more of a self imposed doctrinal restriction. Then I saw, thanks to the internet, how there are other honest and reasonable interpretations to various scriptures
for which I was sure there could be no other way to look at them.
People in the church have to understand that their denominations exist to carefully insulate and protect their $congregants$ from being exposed to, and losing them to, competing understandings of doctrine. The true servant of God is not afraid to let believers be exposed to all thoughts concerning the scriptures. He knows that he not need fear having true believers who are only interested in and want the truth finding that truth. But leaders who themselves are not like that will not allow others to hear alternate understandings and will usually go for the juggler vein of those who offer those other understandings.
