i didnt know that. if thats true it is inflammatory I admit.
That has always been the position of the RCC as *the one true Church of Christ*. Extra ecclesiam nulla salus -- No salvation outside the [Catholic] Church". However, it has rarely been brought to the attention of others. And then when it is discussed it is obfuscated by Catholic clergy as well as the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC):

846 How are we to understand this affirmation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body... Hence they could not be saved who, knowing that the Catholic Church was founded as necessary by God through Christ, would refuse either to enter it or to remain in it.

This has no biblical basis since salvation is SOLELY in and through Christ alone.

It is interesting to acknowledge that, despite all its errors, and outright abuses, the RCC has been instrumental in some way in the safeguarding of Scripture, even as they vainly attempted to keep Scriptures out of the hands of lay people.
lays are starting to run the show. not enough priests

Yes. The bible tells us that there will be many people who say "Lord, Lord" but that the Lord doesn't know them.

The Lord Himself tells us that the only way to enter into the Kingdom of God is to be born again.

So there are real Christians. And there are those who call themselves Christians who aren't.
and there are literalists who use Hell as a threat to win petty debates on the Net.

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5

Being passionate for the Truth... yes. Aren't you? Well, some of my many siblings are still enmeshed in the monstrosity God was gracious enough to free me from. Their affection for the pomp and ritualistic displays is akin to yours, I suppose. I do not hold it against them, per se, but I do wonder if they are saved, though I do not press them on the matter. You have given us to know that you do not believe you are saved. Does a love of religion assure that one is on the way to being saved? No, I do not think so. Scripture tells us certain things so that we will know that we are saved. Wouldn't you rather know that, than enjoy ostentatiously presented falsehoods?
Im usually high anxiety. But not on being saved Especially the one off event Protestant version.
I need to trust God more and be more loving before I die. Co operation with Grace. Some effort on my part but mainly him.
You sound like one of my siblings eho became a Pentecostal. When he started, he was trying to save us all!!
"more faith, do you realise you will go to Hell unless ........"
He was really worried we were all going to Hell. on one level it was thoughtful but on another slightly crazy. in hindsight......sorry Im getting sleepy...starting to drop ........

God told Israel not to marry the people of the other nations for they could start following their false religious ways which would be bad for them, and could affect others.

Which Jezebel is a good case.

And Solomon is a good case as he had many wives and he started pleasing them in their religious ways and not pleasing God in this thing, although he still was following God but should of not catered to their false religious ways which then he was not following the truth.

Some Jews married a person of other nations which perverted them from the truth, and it is worse if it is a king, or a prince that does this for then it can affect many people.

That is why God did not want them to marry a person from other nations.

But Boaz married a Moabitess woman but she forsook the god of her people and embraced the God of Israel before they were married.

This is Old Testament, and God had to keep Israel in the truth, and Jesus came and gave us salvation and it is spiritual now.

As long as they are led of the Spirit then it does not matter the ethnic group, or denomination, for if led of the Spirit you are saved at that point.

In the Spirit it does not matter who you marry as long as they are in the Spirit, which I speak concerning they will not get led away with falsehood from their spouse.

Should a person led of the Spirit marry a person that does not have the Spirit for would it be the same situation as Israel not marrying those of other nations.

And if a non Catholic believes the Catholic religion is wrong should they marry that person.

Should a person that believes another denomination is not the truth marry them, and should they marry a person that is not a believer.

Marry whoever you want to marry but it is strange that some believe the Catholic Church is wrong in their beliefs and then marry a Catholic.

So should love be based on the person, or on their beliefs, and if on the person and they do not believe they have the truth, or of the world, is it love, or is it lust.

If you believe OSAS and you can never fall it would not matter who you marry for their falsehood cannot affect your salvation, and you might be able to bring them to the truth.

But if you believe that you can fall if you do not abide to whatever they believe and they marry a person of the world, or of a denomination they believe is not the truth, then they are taking a chance that they might fall because of the person's ways for they may give heed to them.

If God told Israel not to marry the people of the other nations for they might get led away with their false religious ways and would not follow the truth should a person marry someone of another denomination that they believe is not the truth, or of the world.

If Christians are told not to fellowship with darkness, and be not unevenly yoked with unbelievers, should they marry someone other than what they believe is the truth.

But it would seem like love would not be limited to what you believe, but if you love the truth what you believe is the truth should not love be based on the personality of what you love.

Someone will say I do not like the Catholic Church and then marry a Catholic, or say I do not like the world and then marry someone of the world.

I want to know is it love, or is it lust.

A person that loves to keep in shape, eat healthy, exercise, has the ideal weight, would they marry a person that is 500 pounds, and eats terrible, and does not exercise, and looks like a beached whale.

Would a beauty queen marry the elephant man.

Would the rich marry a homeless person that is dirty.

I have not seen it.

But people can marry who they want to marry but I do understand why people would want to marry someone that does not fit their personality of what they love, and believe.

Again is it love, or is it lust.

But if you are in the Spirit and stedfast in that to not want to budge from that position, and marry a person not of the same cloth maybe you can win a soul.

Is it a chance you are taking, but many people believe in OSAS so it would not make a difference to them for they believe they cannot fall so it would not even matter if they married an atheist.

That checks out - regarding Christian Denominations... according to several authoritative sources that document religious demographics and statistics online to include Pew Research and Statista.com

Top 3 Largest National Christian Populations
About half of all Christians live in just 10 countries. The top three are the United States, Brazil, and Mexico:

United States - 246,780,000 (79.5% of the Population)
Brazil - 175,770,000 (90.2% of the Population)
Mexico - 107,780,000 (95% of the Population)

Number of Christian Denominations
According to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, there are approximately 41,000 Christian denominations and organizations in the world today. This statistic takes into consideration cultural distinctions between denominations in different countries, so there is an overlapping of many denominations.

Major Christian Traditions
Roman Catholic - The Roman Catholic Church denomination is the largest Christian group in the world today with more than a billion followers constituting about half of the world's Christian population. Brazil has the largest number of Catholics (134 million), more than in Italy, France, and Spain combined.

Protestant - There are approximately 800 million Protestants in the world, comprising 37% of the global Christian population. The United States has more Protestants than any other country (160 million), which is about 20% of the worldwide total number of Christians.

Orthodox - Approximately 260 million people worldwide are Orthodox Christians, comprising 12% of the global Christian population. Nearly 40% of Orthodox Christians worldwide live in Russia.

About 28 million Christians worldwide (1%) do not belong to one of these three largest Christian traditions.

it is commonsense to "marry
in your own circles". I suppose.
that could apply to race, language, class, nationality , region. Even in America: would a Republican marry a Democrat? A y'all southerner marry someone from New York?
I married different race /different nationality/language and non Christian. I must be incredibly broad-minded..... 😁

Can two walk together unless they be agreed?

And what hath light to do with darkness.

Those that are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God.

Walk in Truth.

It's a life-time commitment so best to get it right👌and be true to God and yourself. It's very painful, and extremely difficult if you are unequally yoked together. It would be very foolish to marry hoping someone would convert.

A doctrine of marrying prostitutes cannot be made out of what God told Hosea to do, because the Word tells us to not be joined to a prostitute.

Be not yoked together with an unbeliever is pretty clear I think.

Can a man take fire into his bosom and not be burned?

I would marry a catholic who truly knows and loves Jesus. If that is the case, then he wouldn't be catholic anymore. He must know Jesus because how can you love someone you don't know?

If catholics truly know and love God, they wouldn't dare bow down, worship, or pray to Mary, to graven images and to dead saints. They would'nt dare alter or add to the word of God through their cathecism. They wouldn't dare say that Mary has not sinned. The Bible says all have sinned. Mary is not exempted. She even offered animal sacrifice for a particular sin.
