What do you really think though, about all these things which the Catholic Religion upholds and teaches, that are against the Bible?I should make a collage of this anti catholic rhetoric. Its hilarious.
Of coarse not. Everyone errors. There are other Protestant church that are just as bad. Like a friend told me one time. There is a ditch on both sides of the road.I suspect the Catholic Church is not the only one to have committed error.
and there are literalists who use Hell as a threat to win petty debates on the Net.
I know this thread I derailed already. I tried to be comedic about my answer so as to avoid unpleasantness. But this thread started well. People sharing their stories of how they or their partner were Catholic. thanks for that. 10:years ago I was a lapsed Catholic. If i was single I might have been vulnerable to a devout zealous Protestant girlfriend. But over the last few years i have improved my Biblical knowledge and some basic theological knowledge. Enough not to be indoctrinated by post Luther ideaolgies at least.
Could you imagine if everyone studied the Bible and determined whether their church was biblical or not, and then if not left and found one that is.
yesIn the post I quoted from you mentioned what you called, " post Luther ideologies" does this also include Luther, and his 95 thesis?
as I answered before the current catechism allows salvation outside the catholic church (1. Vatican 2, particularly the part about if you aren't Roman Catholic your not Christian. It's never been renounced or rescinded.
Church Fathers please read2. Papism, I see no precedence in the Bible for this. It's kind of offensive for a human to sit as if he were Christ.
Church Fathers. Sorry im not entering the debate . im just pointing to why the Catholic paradigm is different to yours. And other reasons.
But Id say the Church Fathers input is a big factor in why we get so many converting to Catholischism.
sorry my dearThe words of the Church fathers or the Pope are not inspired by God. God was done with His word in the last book in the Bible. So anything after that is unreliable fake news. So I don't care how early the church leader was. John said in Revelation, no one after this. NO ONE, not even Polycarp.
Revelation 22:18-19 KJV
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I agree that the thousands and you say correctly thousand of different interpretations of the many splinter groups of Protestant churches is a huge problem, and the reason so many are way off track.yes

Church Fathers please read
saints I love saints. paul was one. we don't pray to saints by the way.
to be honest you need to read more posts on this thread and a lot more homework overall. go in with an open mind. but its hard because you've been radicalised already (sorry couldn't think of a more polite word)
Look you could say ive been indoctrinated by the catholic Church. you might be right. Church authority is not ideal but its better than giving authority to a book. then being confused by 1000s of interpretations of it. Protestants have too many splinter groups. who cant agree on anything.
Im no teacher
why not listen to this guy and learn. not all answers can be found in the Bible
Sorry about my typos: I meant to say, "precious souls."We love Catholics
We hate Catholicism because it is deceiving previous souls which Christ died for and wants to come to Him xx
I'm not a Protestant.yes

I did not say that, eitheryou didnt mention Hell true. But you dont think Catholics have been saved yet. ok back to bed...
