What do you really think though,about all these things which the Catholic Religion upholds and teaches, that are against the Bible?
Jesus is the true rock not Peter. Even Peter acknowledged that in the Bible. Why would God build His church upon Peter? It is ridiculous.

Church Fathers. Sorry im not entering the debate . im just pointing to why the Catholic paradigm is different to yours. And other reasons.

But this thread started well. People sharing their stories of how they or their partner were Catholic. thanks for that. 10:years ago I was a lapsed Catholic. If i was single I might have been vulnerable to a devout zealous Protestant girlfriend. But over the last few years i have improved my Biblical knowledge and some basic theological knowledge. Enough not to be indoctrinated by post Luther ideaolgies at least.

Of coarse not. Everyone errors. There are other Protestant church that are just as bad. Like a friend told me one time. There is a ditch on both sides of the road.
Could you imagine if everyone studied the Bible and determined whether their church was biblical or not, and then if not left and found one that is.
I thought I was using the Kingdom of God to win petty debates on the net....

I know this thread I derailed already. I tried to be comedic about my answer so as to avoid unpleasantness.
In the heart of staying away from unpleasantness I would still like to ask you some questions. I would love to have a civil conversation with you about it. As far as on line personalities go I like ya, you seem a right decent fella.
In the post I quoted from you mentioned what you called, " post Luther ideologies" does this also include Luther, and his 95 thesis?
As I mentioned before the main problems that I have with Catholicism is
1. Vatican 2, particularly the part about if you aren't Roman Catholic your not Christian. It's never been renounced or rescinded.
2. Papism, I see no precedence in the Bible for this. It's kind of offensive for a human to sit as if he were Christ.
3. Saint veneration, Paul chastised the church at Corinth in the first chapter of his first letter for what would be an early form of this.
That would be absolutely wonderful if it happened on mass.. But sadly most people seem to be more loyal to their forefathers traditions trusting that their thoughts about God are right..
Loyalty to man lead to separation from God..

to be honest you need to read more posts on this thread and a lot more homework overall. go in with an open mind. but its hard because you've been radicalised already (sorry couldn't think of a more polite word)
Look you could say ive been indoctrinated by the catholic Church. you might be right. Church authority is not ideal but its better than giving authority to a book. then being confused by 1000s of interpretations of it. Protestants have too many splinter groups. who cant agree on anything.
The words of the Church fathers or the Pope are not inspired by God. God was done with His word in the last book in the Bible. So anything after that is unreliable fake news. So I don't care how early the church leader was. John said in Revelation, no one after this. NO ONE, not even Polycarp.

I agree that the thousands and you say correctly thousand of different interpretations of the many splinter groups of Protestant churches is a huge problem, and the reason so many are way off track.
It would be better if there were counsels as there were in the book of acts, provided they are men of God. Sadly in this day and age many men rise to high levels yet are not even Christians, and I would say this is also true among Catholicism. So the Book must be our guide and every man subject to the text as well as the Holy Spirit.
I am not as you suggested "radicalized" (and I know you mean no insult by it), I find problems across the board for all of the various branches of the church. One being that they refuse to recognize that though there are many branches there is only one tree, and if you ain't part of that one tree you have huge problems.
I also happen to mostly agree with Luther's 95 thesis. So I know we are at am impass on that. Unless you care to discuss it, I am willing. If not then we can leave it lay where it sits.

I married a catholic girl over 45 years ago. I was not saved at the time. Her parents were against the marriage and the catholic church refused to marry us. They demanded we raise the children catholic which I even in my heathen state would not agree to do. My wife got saved shortly after I did and we have attended church together for over 40 years. Now her parents resented our marriage the whole time. Two of her three brothers were married and divorced through the years. Her mom is dead her dad in in a nursing home and one of her brothers is dead. Those who are still living still resent our marriage. Even the priest who refused to marry us has left the catholic church. God has His way of testifying of His goodness.
