how does that even begin to apply to limited atonement?

how do you reconcile the fact that the Bible states that hell was not created for people, but that it was created for the devil and his angels?

this completely negates the Calvininism position that God has created people to throw into hell
can some calvinist please tell me how this can be put together with their doctrine?

it says hell wasnt made for men. thats it.

they will simply ignore it like they do with every verse that does not agree with their position

and then ask unrelated questions and then leave when the same scripture they have no answer for is again presented

sad sad commentary on the swiss cheese theology of Calvin

i hate calvinism. its so depressing i want to die after hearing it preached. the lottery gospel. its like you are hearing death

when i hear true gospel presented it brings joy to my soul like yes Jesus Christ saves all who put faith in Him. whosoever will. reason why all dont is because people love darkness rather than light bible says.

because of big bro i believe many calvinists are still saved even though they are in error.

i dont get what the mercy is, if people are incapable of responding to God's command to obey. thats like me saying to a brick wall run to me.
Brick wall indeed. Brick wall of rebelliousness, hard hearts, unwillingness....

Isa 6:9

He said, “Go, and tell this people:
‘Keep on listening, but do not perceive;
Keep on looking, but do not understand.’

Exe 12:2

Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see, but see not, who have ears to hear, but hear not, for they are a rebellious house.

Which one is the gospel?

1) The Christ died to save His ppl from their sins.

Or

2) The Christ died so that the lost could make a free will decision.

# 1 puts 100% of salvation upon the Christ.
# 2(there’s a pun there ;) ) puts 100% of salvation upon fallen man’s ability to choose.

# 1 is a Christ centered gospel and salvation.
# 2(again, there’s that pun ;) ) is a man centered gospel and salvation with God hoping they will make the right choice.

typical misapplied Calvinist ranting

why not follow Christ and let Him spread His love abroad in your heart?

you can find that in the New Testament

or do you fancy you carry the mantle of an OT prophet?

Do you and 7seasrekeyed have a scripture that says that, or is this just another statement that can not be backed up by scripture?

41Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. Matthew 25

not created for mankind, but for the devil and his angels

those who refuse Christ will also be judged to go there

nothing in scripture indicates God created extra humans to send to hell

hell was not created for people

There are created people who God calls goats (matt 25:31) 2 Pet 2:12 speaks of them as natural brute beasts, MADE (created) TO BE TAKEN AND DESTROYED.

Rom 9:17 - For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, even for this same purpose have I raised (created) thee up, that I might shew my power in thee. Judas was also made for the purpose of betraying Jesus.

you are using a verse from the final judgement

so yes, unsaved people are separated from those who are saved

that has nothing to do with what I pointed out

it has to do only with the final judgement

hell was made for the devil and his angels

NOT human beings

and even Pharoah was not the devil and not an angel

God raised up Pharoah for what reason?

God showed His power through Pharoah...nothing about goats or hell or predetermined judgement

Pharoah had a hard heart

many people have a hard heart

that does not make them the devil and does not make them an angel

so that means that even these people were not created for the sole purpose of being sent to hell

apparently you will do just about anything to avoid taking an honest look at scripture

Mark 13:20

“Unless the Lord had shortened those days, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. 21“And then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ’; or, ‘Behold, He is there’; do not believe him; 22for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show signs and wonders, in order to lead astray, if possible, the elect.

It doesnt get any clearer than that Melach…...

For a Deterministic Calvinist, prayer is the predetermined “means” to a prescripted end.

remember, God has sent me here to point out the futility of the Calvinistic position or I would not be here

which of course, if you are Calvinist, pretermines everything you will retort or even think

best to get off that merry-go-round and the dizzying consequences with predetermined conclusions that make prayer obsolete

the op, it would seem, cannot distinguish between an insult and biblical support for his position

as others have stated here, it appears that some Calvinists absolutely enjoy insulting others and think that somehow undergirds their obvious self righteous platform
I would offer...

Calvin is dead. The word of God is alive.

For a Deterministic. . . God being of one mind always does whatsoever his soul desires, prayer is the predetermined “means” to a prescribed end. "let there be"

He knowing the hearts of all men and works in the believers hearts giving them a desire to know his will as the new treasure of our new born again hearts. Where the treasure is. . there you will find the heart of mankind.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.Mathew 6:8-9

There is not one prayer throughout the whole bible that originated in the mind mankind. Holy men of old spoke as they were moved by the Spirit of Christ working in them to both will and perform His good pleasure again of Him who knows all things before you can ask. . (imputed righteousness).

Remember He is of one mind always perform the good pleasure of His will . It is God who alone does make our hearts soft. Without him we can nothing that will count in the new heavens and earth.

He gives us a wonderful revelation in Job 23: 11-16 that can be compared to the Philippian 2: 13-14 that I beleive can be used to draw the Elect as his loving authority .Giving us a willing submissive heart .

My foot hath held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food. But he is in one mind, and who can turn him? and what his soul desireth, even that he doeth. For he performeth the thing that is appointed for me: and many such things are with him. Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him. For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me: Job 23: 11-16

Why murmur? Like Adam and Eve in the garden Eden choosing another kind salvation plan?

Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

There would be no faith (believing is seeing) needed. . . if a person seeks after what the eyes see producing a false pride as things of this world . Not from our Father not seen who knows what we need before we ask. .

As sons of God we are not what we will be when we shed these bodies of sin that do lust after the things of the flesh seen.

The accuser of the brethren wil be gone. We will then know as we are known . But not under the Sun, under the father of lies rule of thumb .. . . "You shall surely not die.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Since you brought up Israel, the very fact that all Israel was elect, yet all Israel was not saved proves that the Calvinistic nonsense about election has no basis in fact.

If an elect nation -- elected by God - fails to be elected for salvation, it means that no one is elected for salvation or damnation.
You evidently have no clue as to why God changed Jacob's name to be called Israel, Gen 33:28.
