Hello DeighAnn,
The above is in error, as that would be pretty easy to prove since the police and other agencies have had bodies successfully exhumed even after years of being burried. As far as the event of the rich man and Lazarus, the scripture states that both men physically died and their bodies buried. After that, both of their spirits are found in Hades, conscious and aware, while their bodies were still up on the earth decaying. At the time of the resurrection, the bodies of the dead will be reanimated and their spirits will be reunited with them, immortal and glorified. To make my point clearer, if a believe was to die the day before the resurrection, his body would no longer bein the morgue and that because he would be back in it.
After Jesus resurrected, all of the spirits of the OT saints that were on the comfort side of Hades were taken to heaven, where they wait for the resurrection of their immortal and glorified bodies. The unfaithful who have been and continue to pour into Hades, will remain there in torment in flame until the great white throne judgment where they will also receive resurrected bodies fit for their punishment in the lake o fire.

As I explained in a previous post, the "trumpet of God" and the 7th trumpet have nothing at all to do with each other!
The seals, trumpets and bowl judgments are how God is going to carry out His wrath. Therefore, the church cannot be on the earth during that time because it would put the living church through 2/3's of God's wrath, which we are not appointed to suffer and that because Jesus already did.
The seven trumpets are judgements of wrath and not a blessed event. In addition, there is nothing whatsoever in the context that would elude to the resurrection and catching away of the church taking place at the sounding of the 7th trumpet.
It is because people have been listening to the false teachings of men who have pigeonholed the word trumpet, making the two trumpets synonymous. The church will be long gone prior to the sounding of the seventh trumpet. In fact, the church will be gathered prior to the opening of the first seal, which initiates God's wrath. [/QUOTE]
Where to start? Bodies. Sorry, I thought everyone knew we had 2 bodies and would know I was speaking of the Spiritual one.
2Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2Corinthians 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
2Corinthians 5:3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
2Corinthians 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
2Corinthians 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
2Corinthians 5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
2Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight
2Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
2Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
1Corinthians 15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
1Corinthians 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
1Corinthians 15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
1Corinthians 15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
1Corinthians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
1Corinthians 15:40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
1Corinthians 15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
1Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
1Corinthians 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
1Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
1Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
1Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.
1Corinthians 15:48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.
1Corinthians 15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
1Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (dead as in spiritually dead, and the spiritually dead dropping dead and being raised
1Corinthians 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
1Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
