Yap, but you are the one who cut the words of our Lord Jesus in preceding verse 24 which says

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

So that those who believeth in him have everlasting life, it follows then that are they who do good things in God's sight. But for those who believeth not which followed evil will be to eternal damnation as they get resurrected.

1 John 3:14We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.

You need to reconcile. One part says he who believes has passed from death to life and another part says the one who loves has passed from death to life.

Like i have and many others keep saying here, believing as used in the scripture is not just some thoughts but some actions.

And

1 Cor 13: (love) 7It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things

And i don't think Paul is talking about worldly hope here, is he?

Rom 8: 24For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

Yes...We wait patiently for Jesus to return , He is our Hope...
When we die , we shall see Him , while I am alive , I wait patiently for Him to call me home ...

Ha! You greatly misunderstand me friend. I in no way believe that "knowledge is salvation."
Those who have heard me preach & teach over the years would get quite a chuckle out of that "gnostic" statement!

What Jesus said is "Eternal Life" is to know Him and the Father.

An apparent misunderstanding in the "Christian" Religion today, is that many believe that "salvation" = "Eternal Life."
They are not synonymous. "Salvation" should lead to "Eternal Life" but they are quite different ends of the spectrum.
Salvation doesn’t equal Christ saving us for Eternal Life?!
Ever learning.... never coming to the knowledge of the Truth...

There is some crazy cheese being spread in these forums the past couple of days.

Yes...We wait patiently for Jesus to return , He is our Hope...
When we die , we shall see Him , while I am alive , I wait patiently for Him to call me home ...
Correct.

Heb 9:28so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.

' ' '

Of a Truth, our eternal destiny in determined by our obedience and our behavior in this life.

. . .

YOU ARE A FALSE PROPHET, TRYING TO SPREAD YOUR FALSE TEACHINGS.

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having BEEN justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Romans 11:6 (HCSB)
6 Now if by grace, then it is not by works; otherwise grace ceases to be grace.

You are like a modern day Pharisee, who has LOWERED GOD's Standard to something you can keep, and they come in here all puffed up, seeking those you can lead astray.

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (NKJV)
20 For there is not a just man on earth who does good And does not sin.

Acts 20:29-31 (HCSB)
29 I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 And men will rise up from your own number with deviant doctrines to lure the disciples into following them.

31 Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you with tears.

I CAN PROVE YOU ARE A SINNER, THAT STILL COMMITS SIN, because you have CHOSEN to IGNORE many commandments of GOD.

1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. {.If you are an American, that would be President Trump.}

One mile over the Posted Speed Limit = You are a SINNER.

SmallLitterCigarettes.jpg

You LITTER, even one cigarette butt = You are a SINNER.

Failure to pick up your Dog's Poop = You are a SINNER.

Shall I go on ? ? ? There are lots of other Ordinances (City, County, and State) I did not mention?

OH, ONE MORE:

Matthew 22:37-38 (HCSB)
37 He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
38 This is the greatest and most important command.

How many times TODAY, Have you failed to keep that COMMAND ? ? ?

I hope and pray you can follow Paul's example:

Romans 7:23-25 (NASB)
23 but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
24 Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death?
25 Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin.

Maybe so, but trusting to get something in return isn't real trust.
Of course it is real trust. It takes more trust believing that you’re getting something than if you’re not getting something. Do you trust your bank more so because they are insured and going to give you interest on your money than if they said they were not insured nor giving you any interest? The obvious answer is yes.

It's not just believing, and it's not just trust and believing. Your object of Faith is different than mine or what it should be.
Your object of Faith is God's word, and His promises. That's not true saving Faith.

True saving Faith is a personal surrender to Him! God Himself, a real living person.

Don’t tell me what my object of faith is, ever, because you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Jesus Christ is the object of my faith. First, last, forever.

A truth that does not bode well for worker bees like you. I pray you learn to lean on the fullness of Jesus Christ rather than yourself.

I know all about the fullness of Jesus Christ, I've surrendered my life to that fullness. And to my surprise, I'm in Him and He is in me.

I could show you that He isn't in you yet , I you really want to go there.

CC brethren would vehemently disagree with you; and so would Jesus. But I digress; keep trying to shut out the Kingdom of Heaven against me and others. It’s sad, but most assuredly it’s also amusing.

I wasn't referring to you, Pisteuo.. :)

Is that what it seems like to you, that I'm trying to keep you out of something?

And I don't understand what you could be disagreeing with. I've highlited the Greek word the NT writers used to communicate what saving Faith is, and two Greek dictionaries definitions of such word. This is just the beginning of the discussion using the Greek language correctly. So your disagreement isn't with me but with the Greek writers, the Strong's, and Vines.

You’re pushing works salvation. That is in attempt to shut out the kingdom of heaven against others.
