The book of Acts, is called Acts of the apostles, yet it sais "The Lord working with them, confirming His Word with sines and wonders." As we are in Him we have no claim to the work. "As labourers together with Him" we would not be the ones saying, "Have we not done many wonderful works in your name." These were building their own kingdoms and using the name of Jesus to draw people. These are not in Christ and resist the Holy Gost: still have their hard heart, living for themselves, and would likely believe not by works, as they are unable to be moved by Compashion to do the work of God. Distorting the meaning of "Not by works of righteousness witch we have done," that was ment to say: our hard hearts can't save ourselves; if they understood this they would stumble at the Word and be broken and have an exchange of life with God, and understand that "But by His Grace alone." To mean what the Lord sais, "Not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit sais the Lord." "Without Love I am nothing." So can God save a hard heart? No, He has to let it stumble against Him and be broken, in hope that we will hate our life in this world and come to Him and lose our life in Him. "Save yourselves from this untoward generation." A generation building their on kingdoms and quarreling with one another. If you haven't noticed, you're unable to quarel with me, as I am disappearing in Christ and your judgment would expose you, while I suffer reproach gladly. No I don't believe in eternal security, in this life we can fall from any level except perfection and neither one of us is there saying, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, from now on there is kept for me a crown of righteousness from the Righteous Judge and not for me only but for all those who Love His appearing." And don't think you will Love His appearing if your found quarreling. "Only by pride comes contention." "The servant of the Lord must not quarel..."
