So what I hear you saying is that God showed Peter a personal revelation [/vision] about how he [Peter] should [personally] treat the uncircumcised Gentiles... and no one else witnessed his "vision," but that Luke was to record it nevertheless [for others and us to read] because...?? [why?]
Please do not chop up my posts any more, you are making ti look like I am saying things I am not saying. This is the full point I was making, you cut part out like Im saying Jesus is false. Jesus is THE ONLY WAY.

If Jesus could not be a trustworthy witness how is one who God has not certified trustworthy?

John 5:31-32, “If I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is not trustworthy. There is another who testifies about me, and I know that the testimony he gives about me is true.”

2 or more trustworthy witnesses and/or Duet 13 test. People don;t evevn care for God's words to test someone who speaks in His name.

I see you like to slander with name calling,

Lets look at the greek?

John 3:36, “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”

does not obey” is word #G544 - apeitheó: to disobey, Original Word: ἀπειθέω, Part of Speech: Verb, Transliteration: apeitheó, Phonetic Spelling: (ap-i-theh'-o), Short Definition: I disobey, rebel, am disloyal, Definition: I disobey, rebel, am disloyal, refuse conformity.

G544
ἀπειθέω
Verb
I disobey, rebel, am disloyal

Should I rather go with the crowd than what Jesus actually says?
right. Jesus said to believe in Him, just a few lines ago. so, to not believe would be to rebel and disobey.
no law keeping required . just belief in the Son.

Separate question, here:

Who else witnessed the "vision" given to Peter?

Why do we care what "vision" PETER saw?

Are you under the Law? (is "the Law" the "rule of life" for today/"the Church which is His body" or is "the law of the Spirit OF LIFE [in Christ Jesus]??)

Is Peter's "vision" for anyone else but Peter?

You make me think of this:

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

1 John 3:24, “And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.”

Follow Jesus, He is the only way:

John 8:51 “Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone guards My Word he shall never see death at all.”

John 12:25-26, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life shall lose it, and he who hates his life in this world shall preserve it for everlasting life." Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

John 14:21, “he who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

John 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

Habakkuk 2:4, “See, he whose being is not upright in him is puffed up. But the righteous one lives by his steadfastness.”

“steadfastness” #H530 אֱמוּנָה 'emuwnah (em-oo-naw') n-f. אֱמֻנָה 'emunah (em-oo-naw') [shortened], 1. (literally) firmness., 2. (figuratively) security., 3. (morally) fidelity, [feminine of H529], KJV: faith(-ful, -ly, -ness, (man)), set office, stability, steady, truly, truth, verily. , Root(s): H529

Why does Paul butcher 2 OT quotes back to back? Many believe it is because Paul quoted from the septuagint, a translation of the Hebrew OT into Greek, that is know to have over 40,000 erros in translation. Many of Paul's wuotes do match the greek septuagint, but I find it odd that an error ridden text would be considered sufficent.

Galatians 3:11-12, “11 Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” 12 But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.”

But the verse Paul quotes says THE OPPISITE of what Paul makes it say:

Leviticus 18:4-5, " 4 You shall follow my laws and keep my statutes and walk in them. I am the LORD your God. 5 You shall therefore keep my statutes and my rules; if a person does them, he shall live by them: I am the LORD.

right again.
you see, on the Mount of Transfiguration, God the Father came down and said, in the presence of Moses ( the Law) and Elijah ( the Prophets) ,and said of the Son " hear HIM"

this elevates and seperates the Words in Red over all other Scripture. the truth of Trinity.
and, since you quote John so much, he said in His 1st letter that the commands were to believe in the name of the Son, and love one another, not keep the Law and Sabbath.

Amen! The gospel is a message of grace to be received through faith. The gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. The gospel is not salvation by “grace plus law, faith plus works” which is a “different” gospel. (Galatians 1:6-9)

*The gospel simply sets forth Christ crucified, buried and risen (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To “believe” the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.
So the main question to really ask is, "Was this also the same gospel preached during Matthew to early Acts by Jesus and the 12?"

I have realized that people who read the same bible can come to very different answers to this question. That is the fascinating aspect of our brains, our preexisting doctrine distorts the meaning of the words we read. :)

No one else witnessed Peter's Acts 10 vision that I know of, I don't think the text say anyone else did. However Peter was certified by Jesus when He was chosen. So Peter is a credible witness. However that is for Peters own mind. We have multiple witnesses that Jesus sent Peter to Gentiles to confirm that this was correct, we don't even need Peter's witness:

Acts 1:6-8, " 6 So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Luke 24:44-49, “44 Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

I care because I search out everything I can concerning the Father and Jesus and anything related. Peter's vision was for him and had effect on Cornelius and other Gentiles.

I believe in following the law of God mediated by Jesus.

Hebrews 7:23-25, " 23 The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, 24 but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. 25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Psalms 110:4-5, " 4 The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind, “You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.” 5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.

Thank you for the reply, and yes I do believe many things Paul said gets twisted in numerous ways. it does seem more people than I thought believe Jesus and Paul teach the same.

I have to say if they do theach the same can I not just follow Jesus words?

COnsider this:

Romans 10:9-10, “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For one believes with his heart and is justified, and declares with his mouth and is saved.”

Mat 7:21, “Not everyone who keeps saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will get into the kingdom from heaven, but only the person who keeps doing the will of my Father in heaven.

There are a number of other discrepancies that have yet to be cleared up, there may be proper answer to clear them up but none have been presented to me IMO.

Even times with his own words:

Galatians 2:19, “For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.”

Romans 7:25, “Thank God through Jesus the Messiah, our Lord, because with my mind I myself can serve the Law of God, even while with my human nature I serve the law of sin.”

but Jesus sets us free from being a servant of sin:

John 8:34-36, " 34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

These are some like I said there are many.
Ahh, I see that, in your own way, you are beginning to feel a "disturbance in the Force".

You are beginning to realize that, the idea that Jesus and Paul preached "exactly the same gospel of salvation" has many issues if one really read the bible literally.

I agree Jesus words above all, Moses even said this in Duet and Peter quted it in Acts.

You can speak gainst the law but Jesus said it's not gone and teaching against it is not a good thing:

Matthew 5:17-20, " 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

For the law is love explained in words, Jesus is love explained in action:

Matthew 22:36-40,36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

John 13:15, “For I (Jesus) gave you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”

This is not star wars fella. No I said people view. I have spent years studying and none have even touched on the contradictions, only ignored them and spoke on other things.

1 Corinthians 4:15-16, “You may have 10,000 mentors who work for the Messiah, but not many fathers (G3962 patér). For in the Messiah Jesus I have begotten* you through the gospel. So I urge you to imitate me.”

Matthew 23:9, “And call no man your father (G3962 patér) on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven.”

“*begotten 1 Corinthians 4:15-16” is word #G1080 gennaó: to beget, to bring forth, Original Word: γεννάω, Part of Speech: Verb, Transliteration: gennaó, Phonetic Spelling: (ghen-nah'-o), Short Definition: I beget, bring forth, give birth to, Definition: I beget (of the male), (of the female) I bring forth, give birth to.

John 13:15, “For I (Jesus) gave you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.”

Philippians 3:17-18, “Join together in imitating me (Paul), brothers, and pay close attention to those who live by the example we have given you. For I have often told you, and now tell you even with tears, that many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.”

1 Peter 2:21, “This is, in fact, what you were called to do, because Christ also suffered for you and left an example for you to follow in His steps.”

1 John 2:6, “The one who says that he abides in him must live the same way he (Jesus) himself lived.”

2 Timothy 1:13-15, "Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me (Paul), in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you. You are aware that all who are in Asia turned away from me, among whom are Phygelus and Hermogenes.”

John 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

Okay, so you are saying that because Jesus selected Peter as one of His disciples whom He also named "apostles" (Matt10:1-4; Mk3:14-19; Lk6:12-16) that this means everything Peter says is to be believed no questions asked (even a "vision" that HE ALONE was witness to)?

(see John 21:21-23 where PETER ALONE was told something by Jesus [this, after His Resurrection], where the text informs us that "then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple [whom Peter had asked Jesus about] should not die: YET JESUS SAID NOT UNTO HIM [unto Peter], 'He shall not die'; BUT 'IF I WILL that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?'" --that's what was REALLY said to Peter... but "that saying [the faulty one] WENT ABROAD AMONG THE BRETHREN"... via Peter's lips [for Jesus had been speaking WITH HIM/PETER!]… In view of this incident, I'm wondering why you are singling out PETER [whose "vision" he alone saw] as someone to be believed unquestionably[!] due to his "chosen apostle" status, yet the record here says he flubbed up what Jesus had stated to him/Peter DIRECTLY. I'm not really "getting" this discrepancy, between what you are insisting Peter abide by ["out of the mouth of 2 witnesses"], but hasn't, in the case of this "vision" of "A CERTAIN VESSEL" which he alone "saw" [why do we care what "he" saw in a "vision"??])

Thank you I appreciate the throught. He is guiding me, I follow the Messiah.

John 14:23-26, " 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me. 25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

Isaiah 59: 21 “And as for me, this is my covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit that is upon you, and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says the LORD, “from this time forth and forevermore.”

You need to read Duet 13. That lays out the criteria. Then also 2 or more witnesses law,

Here

and remember Jesus is the high priest and judge now:

Deuteronomy 19:15-21, " 15 “A single witness shall not suffice against a person for any crime or for any wrong in connection with any offense that he has committed. Only on the evidence of two witnesses or of three witnesses shall a charge be established. 16 If a malicious witness arises to accuse a person of wrongdoing, 17 then both parties to the dispute shall appear before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who are in office in those days. 18 The judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely, 19 then you shall do to him as he had meant to do to his brother. So you shall purge the evil from your midst. 20 And the rest shall hear and fear, and shall never again commit any such evil among you. 21 Your eye shall not pity. It shall be life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Deuteronomy 13:1-5, " 1 “If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2 and the sign or wonder that he tells you comes to pass, and if he says, ‘Let us go after other gods,’ which you have not known, ‘and let us serve them,’ 3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the LORD your God is testing you, to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 You shall walk after the LORD your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. 5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has taught rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of slavery, to make you leave the way in which the LORD your God commanded you to walk. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
