i understand why big bro uses words like caketaker and cainologists and words like that. imagine this man has been here for long time and heard same arguments over and over again

i have only heard them for a while and i say in my mind oh please not again. like snoopy the dog (not snoop dogg) from that comic book. good grief as they say in the comic

you know its something bad when its you are not saved by works BUT....... here we go what is it.

Peter didn't say all this in Acts 2.

This is your interpretation.
Peter preached the Gospel

People were convicted

People believed

People were regenerated

Exactly what happened.

Which part are you missing?

You don't know what you are talking about.....but we all already know that!
How much saving power did your faith add to your salvation?

How much power did people in the Bible’s faith put towards their physical healing when Jesus said your faith has made you whole.

Did Jesus heal them or did their faith?

Bill....it is IMPOSSIBLE to engage one that CONSTANTLY SKEWS, TWISTS OR EMBELLISHES NOT ONLY THE BIBLE, but what we say as well....and then to the point of sin incessantly defends himaelf by further twisting, skewing and embellishing or rejecting what is actually said...
Always hope mate.
That's why I engage.
We have all been there.
That's the purpose of this thread.

I know when to stop.

But when I see a glimmer of hope I will persue it.

Both sides can be reciprocated.

But as I said I know when to stop.

And I'm still waiting for your answer as to why Jesus said that the Holy Spirit must come to convict the world of sin (not sins) of unbelief in him.
Where did He say convict of sin of unbelief. He said the Spirit would come and convict the world of sin ( inward condition of sinfulness) because they don’t believe.

Jesus convicted Paul of persecuting the church

Paul talked to Felix about self control. Why? He should have just talked to Him about unbelief

Why did God give the Law to show us our guilt and need of a Saviour

Etc

Ok ad hominem man. 👍

Undergrace said something never happened. In effect, called me a liar. So you don’t think I’m going to provide the proof, ad hominem man
I really do not read what you perceive in those posts...... even if I counted @dcontroversal as an enemy .....lol ... I just do not see it, I really do not.

The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against what? Let me know. What is the wrath of God against. Read Romans 1, Sherlock 🙂

Look at all the accusations. Give one post that backs up His accusation that I twist the Bible.

And he has called me an idiot. That makes him ad hominem man

hahahahahahahahhaahhaahahahahhaahhaahhaahahaahhahahahaahhahahaahhahahhahahah now that is hilarious.....wow!
Hilarious but true. I said regeneration was instantaneous with faith. GB9 said that is a big fat lie. So I guess you don’t think regeneration happens when we believe either? 😂😂😂

If you did, you wouldn’t laugh when I said I corrected him. 😂😂😂

I was just about to like this post.

But then you put that last sentence on there.

I believe that the general grace that God has shown the world is resisted by some.

I do not believe that the specific Grace that causes the illuminating, convincing and convicting work of the Holy Spirit can be resisted.

Once you understand that all your blessings come from God how can you resist being blessed???

No thanks. I'll just stay cursed. I like that better.... ?????????? Doesn't make any sense. Even from a carnal perspective.
Now that’s Calvinism. Don’t worry. Though I’m not a Calvinist, I like Calvinists much better than DCs kind

At least they emphasize grace in salvation instead of overemphasizing our faith. 🙂

Always comes out sooner or later!
yes its always something.

you know the story of republican and pharisee? of course you do. in that story when you look one verse before it says when Jesus returns shall he find faith? so that says to me that works salvation or self righteous people could be worst off. Jesus gave them most punishment in His ministry time on earth. He said even sodom would be better off than some of them. harlots would go first into kingdom over pharisees.

Seriously are you serious?

The sin the Holy Spirit will convict us, the world of the sin of unbelief in him.
Not the inward condition of our sins.
You are in the world, one of many billions of people born after Jesus resurrection.

Notice the difference between sin and sins.

John 16:9
9 The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me.

It's their convict of the sin of unbelief in him.
Nowhere does JESUS say to convict of the inward condition of sinfulness.

Jesus convicted Paul of his sin of unbelief in him.

When a person repents of the sin of unbelief they also repent of sins.
Carnal sins and non carnal sins.
Then the Holy Spirit works in us to conform us to the image of Jesus.
When we sin we confess.

But given the verses we are talking about there is nothing to support or suggest that it's an inward condition of sinfulness.
