NOTICE: It is one of the FEW LAWS, that was carried over to the NEW TESTAMENT, intact. How much do you LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD, THAT MUCH, or LESS?

How about this.

One hears the Gospel.

He is convicted of sin and convinced of the truth of the Gospel by the Holy Spirit.

He has a change of mind and comes to Christ in faith.

Then God regenerates him, making him a new creation.

That’s how I see the Bible teacing it. 🙂
What sin is it that we are convicted off when we come to Jesus?

There is a simpler way to put that.

1 John 3:14 (HCSB)
14 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love our brothers. The one who does not love remains in death.[/QUOTE]

In other words, regeneration. The ignored doctrine...

I was convicted of my rebellion against God. I saw everything in light of Gods Holiness and was shattered.
Can we start with this?

John 16:7-9
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;

Ok what did Jesus ask Paulwhen He met Paul on the Damascus road?

Did He ask, why don’t you believe in me? Or did He bring conviction of that AND something else?

What is Jesus saying/conveying in the verses from John?

16:9 of sin: Note the singular sin, not sins. Our witness should not focus on sins (adultery, gluttony, pride, and other sins), but on the full payment that Christ has made for all sin. Reception of the full pardon is the only cure for the disease of sin.

Sin is an inward state of rebellion. Sins are fruits of that inward state of sin.

Yes, and unbelief is the same as rebellion. So why do you take issue witb what I said?

What did Paul talk about when He preached faith to Felix? Acts;24-25

And what is the purpose of the Law? Romans 3:19-20?

I'll be ok.

Maybe its just your interpretation of Peters sermon I am disagreeing with??
Well let’s see

A. Peter preached the gospel

B. Some were convicted

C. Some believed

D. Those who believed were regenerated ( received the Holy Spirit)

Well, yeah, that was my outline. How does what I said disagree with what Peter taught?

No. Did Jesus ask, “why don’t you believe my claims” it did He ask why do you persecute me”

What did Paul talk about when he preached to Felix? (Four things)

What is the purpose of the Law given in Romans 3:20? ( not the only purpose but the one purpose stayed there)

Peter didn't say all this in Acts 2.

This is your interpretation.

I in no way was referring to any particular person. If you thought so, I apologize. I was and do speak about myself and my own failures as a witness for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I was and do speak about my own weakness as His Child.

I agree, whenever false teachers trample on His Word and on His children, patience is no longer my virture. I'm not sure how to express myself sometimes and because this site is writing and not face-to-face, I'm sure my words can and are misconstrued.

I believe you and I are most definitely on the same page.
I did not take it to literally and for sure have no issue with you Star....and agree with you for sure..... ;)
