here I am, saying that regeneration is instant.

just to show that I did agree with someone in principle, but not word for word.

and, legalists will not accept anything but a word for word agreement.

that is why things can't be let go off by them...
Yes, AFTER I CORRECTED YOU, which is after you attacked me and called me all kinds of names.

You said that after I corrected you. Here is the insulting and ridiculous things you said before I corrected you.

regeneration is not what your phony lordship junk teaches. saved by grace, proved by works.

trash.

yes, I personally believe in regeneration, but you push INSTANT regeneration, that is a big fat lie.

it looks different for everyone. some folks are instantly regenerated , some it takes times for the Fruits of the Sprit to began to manifest.

all are saved the instant they believe, and stay so as long as they believe.

regeneration is a separate conversation.
Proved by works is a strawman, by the way.

Only when its tied to a necessity of/for salvation...which is what you believe correct?
So where did I say this?

The answer is no. I'm sorry that you, DC, GB9, Eternally grateful don't know what"come after" means. As in obedience, fruit etc follow/come after salvation.See 1 John 2:3

If that doesn't fit in your theology, take it up with the Elder.

OK if you guys don't address me anymore, I'll drop it.

Take care now.

Nope. Can you produce a post where I said that.

I do agree with what eternally grateful said though. Remember the quote that I had for my sig for a while.

When EG says things like that, you all high five him. When I say things like that, I'm a works salvationist

What was it that he said? Oh yeah, EG said "it is impossible for a Christian not to work, it is part of his new nature."

DC thumbs upped that one. But when I say the same thing, I get castigated.

I guess you all have your double standards. If that's what you like, OK.

YOU GOT TO CLARIFY THAT STATEMENT.

The Work Righteousness bunch do it to earn part of their SALVATION, and KEEP IT.

We do it JUST BECAUSE we want to LOVE him back.

MOTIVE is the reason Most will be COUNTED AS FILTHY RAGS.

Only LOVE is the PURE MOTIVE that GOD values, with out expecting payment.

@VCO, plus the statement in the post you replied to was qualified by the words "It is part of the New Nature"

Those who are well do not need a doctor. Thank God that Jesus is the Great Physician who desires to heal everyone who is sick. Now here’s the kicker; everyone is sick, especially “sinless perfectionists”.

oh you know him. are you from south africa also?
No not from South Africa...for some reason one false teacher on YouTube leads to another, so you know one and you discover all the others.

FinalCall07 actually teaches repent means to stop sinning...

Well, while you are repenting you aren't sinning... probably... So he's kind of correct?? Probably not in the way he means...

But any other time its probably not going quite as well as the person who thinks they are sinless thinks it is...

Sorry Grandpa he actually defines the word "repent" to mean "cease from sin"

So actually I would agree with Melach on this, it is a sin to think you can stop sinning.

Well repent actually means to turn away from your own way and turn to God. So while you are in the actual act of repentance a by product of that is that you have ceased from sin.

But as soon as you are "finished" or go back to life or whatever, not in a repentant state, doing your own thing, you are subject to sin. You don't have to dwell on it or anything like that but you know that you aren't God and that you aren't Perfect.

And that is what the sinless perfectionist says "I am perfect like God is Perfect". No, sir. You are just as dumb and weak as the rest of us. Sorry to burst your perfect bubble...

Metanoia as a word used in scripture and apart from scripture in Greek writings means a "change of mind" there is nothing inherent within the word that relates to sin, it is not only a biblical word.

In scripture in context away from dead works to Christ

The root of the meaning of the word repentance: meta=after; noeo=to think. Put the two together and the effect of meta was “after the fact” or “afterwards.”

Essentially, it means to think about something later on and have a reversal of opinion about it. Thus, repentance meant “to change the mind.” Specifically—to change the mind about Christ.

in my language only one bible translation says change of mind its translated correctly in only one. its lutheran conservative translation. the mainstream translations are all saying repent means to change ur lifestyle and do better
