God guards and protects our souls. He also protects our bodies at times, but this is talking about preserving, keeping, guarding the soul. Because it is KEPT UNTO SALVATION. God keeps us UNTO salvation. That can only mean preservation of spiritual life. Jesus will lose none of His sheep.
I didn't say my soul was dead. I said Spirit was dead, spiritually dead. What do you suppose it means that we were dead in our sins, and then God quickened us (made us alive) with Christ?
Regeneration is a SPIRITUAL RESURRECTION. Only God raises the dead, whether physical or spiritual
