You’re saved, you’re not dead in your sins.

Your former husband is dead, he is the one who had you bound to the law which made you dead in your sins. The wife MUST submit to the law of her husband. But if the husband be dead, she is free to marry another. The wife is now bound to the law of her new husband.

Your former husband has been crucified with Christ. You are, or should be married to Christ now. If you’re not, it’s your fault because your husband is dead and your now free to marry another.

That wicked husband is dead and gone, crucified with Christ. It’s not possible to regenerate him nor would ever want him to be regenerated.
I was dead in my sins,

Ephesians 2:1
And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,

Ephesians 2:5
even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Colossians 2:13
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alivetogether with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,

Nothing her about any former husband. I was dead because of sin, and i was MADE ALIVE (regernerated) by christ through the circumcision of my spirit and forgiveness of sin. Not by my works, but by gods mercy, the HS washed then regenerated my soul

My relationship with god has been restored

The KJV doesn’t include regeneration and renewal with salvation but I can see why you say that. We all know that we are RENEWED through the reading the words of the Bible. And I won’t belabor this, I’m just bringing out what I see in the KJV.

I’m not trying to make this a KJV only thing, I’m only pointing out that the newer translations define salvation as the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit and that’s why there is so much difficulty in seeing what I’m saying about the verses in the KJV.

Most people don’t read the KJV on a regular basis so it’s harder for them to understand the language. But when one version says something that is completely different from another version, we have to go with the one that’s right rather than the one that’s easier to read.
Yes it does

Titus 3: 5 KJV - 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Its called regeneration or new birth

You could say that while I was growing up, sometimes I was given "incentives" to read and memorize verses. As a young child, there was a person in the church who would give me I am thinking maybe a quarter when I would tell him a bible verse that I memorized. So if I memorized a verse, I would quote it to him. I don't remember having a NIV until I was given one in 2007.
Most memory verses i leaned as a child was kjv, i got a nkjv as a teenager (17) and have used it ever since, i never liked the NIV to many issues,

What part of you was regenerated instantly at the time of salvation? You are made up of body, soul and spirit, which one of those was instantly regenerated?
My spirit was dead at that time, seperated from God

Your was too, everyones is, in adam all die.

Well one thing we can probably agree on is that the KJV are much more eloquent and beautiful than any other version. The language of the KJV is beautifully poetic in sound.
I picked my moms up a few years ago, tried to read it, it was hard, i forgot what some of the words meant, and to be honest, would never give it to a new believer especially a young believer who has never heard many of the words, they would be lost.

Doctrine may be great, but is of no value if a person can. Ot comprehend what is being said,

I agree with DC his definition on renewal of mind, but we do know that that is not regeneration. Regeneration is the new birth. Renewal is a result of the new birth. One is instant when saved, and the other begins at salvation, but is a continuous process, like sanctification😀
Renewal simply means regeneration, rebirth though I agree with that renewing of the mind is the product of a renewed spirit Titus speaks of the renewing of the Holy Spirit. Simply talk about the works of the Holy Spirit to regenerate our spirit. It's not the renewing of the mind.

Well now your agreeing with me. You said that your spirit and soul regeneration is the same thing as salvation but now you’re saying that regeneration is a process... and I agree, it is a process and it starts by the washing of regeneration, the washing of the word of God which takes years and is never fully completed.
So we are not saved until when?

Because if we are still in the process, we are not saved yet

Interesting .... definitely spiritual
Not sure if the renewing of our mind is regeneration
Its not

Its called christian growth, or the process of sanctification.

Regeneration is the process of something which is dead given life

If you have a dead battery and can restore it, you have regenerated the battery

Its not a process of renewing the batteries function or purpose,

Paul calls the renewing of our mind "transformation" Romans 12
Yes i like this also, transformation, sanctification, the process of making us christlike

In the future, our bodies will be regenerated, when we see him face to face.

Then remain ignorant. I rest in God who told me: I don't need your help. He doesn't need my help to convince others to walk in Love. The Holy Spirit convinces us of sin. Jesus did take our sin mature to hell and was saved by the Holy Spirit and why we can't be saved by our works: we have been sentenced to death by God. Our Hope is the Way Jesus made in Himself. You seek to quarrel is the dead work that you speak against and are ensnared in by judging others.
I do not think it was God who told you that,

Jesus arose from The dead and said, "I have the keys of death and hell." But as long as you think that you know, you have stoped learning and will remain in the box of your understanding. "If I have all knowledge and have not Love I am nothing."
Can you state where he said he is done learning?

Agreed. Regeneration is not the same as renewing the mind. Regeneration is the new birth, resurrection from spiritual death to spiritual life by the Word and the blood, and the Spirit.

Amen, a worm is not regenerated, he is changed.

We are in the process of being changed now,, although at same time, we are also new creatures

Amen............and it is a process of being changed and sanctified.........

Spirit --->SAVED, JUSTIFIED, SANCTIFIED POSITIONALLY AND SEALED IN CHRIST

MIND ---> Transformed by a study and application of the word and a process of daily sanctification which is subject to successes and failures due to the amount of study, depth of study, application of what is studied etc.....

BODY --> The greater the transformation of the mind the more we bring this into subjection and also subject to successes and or failures.......BUT it must ultimately be changed in the resurrection/change

Act_2:31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

No matter if you see "his soul" as being David or Jesus, Jesus went to hell.
If the verse is speaking of Jesus, which it is, his soul was not left in hell, neither did his flesh see corruption.
If the verse is speaking of David, Jesus went to where David was and Acts 2:31 says he was in hell.

Jonah is a second witness to that.
Jonah foreshadowing Christ, cried out from the belly of hell.

Jon_2:2 And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.
Not even going to argue that HELL means the grave....but hey, jump on the bandwagon if you so chose.....

Today thou shalt be with me in HELL......sorry....he said Paradise.....if you think HELL as a place of torment is paradise....maybe you should go back to school....

stillness is LOST in the SAUCE my friend.

WHAT in the world is he talking about LOL. You know how when you're listening to someone preach and you say "Well, eat the meat spit out the bones"? That post by stillness was just nothing BUT bones, error after error after error. WHAT HAPPENED? Did he get deceived by some false teacher?
Oh he is not the only one.....read down a few pots.....another genius that thinks HELL meant HELL instead of the GRAVE or TOMB.....but HEY....religionists are a dime a dozen on this site....
