So tell me
What should i do, look to the law for guidance, or look to christ, who loved me and because of that love, empowered me to love others, and by nature of loving others, i will by nature not break commands when i am in an act of loving?
And when i fail to love and put self first (sin) do i need the law to tell me what i should already know? That i put self first, and this sin led me to break other commands, if i focus on just the commands, will i not miss the root of sin whcih caused me to break them in the first place? And thus be in danger of never finding victory? Or thinking i have when i have not? [/QUOTE
WE SHOULD DO THEM BOTH. One should not negate the other. LETS love God more than He is asking us to. Lets teach everyone that is the best way. Symbiotic relationships are the best. If Israel would have followed with faith, love it would have worked. So God gets rid of the old law and gives us faith and love. So what are WE doing now? Getting rid of the law.
What I would love to start hearing is "what we were lacking we have been given". Let us give it all to God, all at the same time. Let us learn and love His holiness and His love for us. Lets not be like the old only giving what may be required, let us go beyond what is asked and teach this is the way
I am not talking about going back to the law of Moses to "do them" but to teach them, yes. They have very important information for us. And none of the scary applies to us. I stop
