Yes but Mr. Bob.... I thought we were talking about politics?
If you don't see it, that's because my political views and how I vote are based on the list I prioritized and provided. The job of the military is to protect and defend them thus they are a necessity also. Did you mean do I have any political affiliations?
NO!

NO!
Your list requires a third party I guess... not likely.

Why? Don't you get yet? Party politics is part of the problem. That's the old boy system that I am beginning to despise!
There is nothing for me to get.
Party politics is not the problem.
The problem is a populace that has been intentionally polarized and immersed in a left - right paradigm when the problems are far beyond issues of left and right.

So how do we protest against it without becoming a part of it?

I wish I knew :)

Grassroots..... exactly what you are doing getting them to see the bigger picture.
I no longer believe that's possible. Will the side that opposes deregulating banks and wall street also oppose abortion and the gay or atheist agenda? Will the side that opposes illegal immigration also defend the refugees against the tyrants the are trying to get away from? Thus my stand. Principals before personalities!

Put each issue on the ballot separately and let me make my own decisions on how I should vote. I won't pick anyone to decide for me any more. I am not in a coma!

Or should I have asked; "will the side that's in favor of regulating wall street and banks oppose abortion, pollution and the gay & atheist's agenda?" If so, I might take that side.

1 Corinthians 3:20“...The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” 21 So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Kayla, when you respond as you do, your whole post ends up in the squished down quote box, and is therefore not even visible unless the box is clicked to expand, but even then, if someone were to quote your post, it would be filled with the content from the post you quoted intermingled with your own, and that could be problematic for anyone wishing to respond to only your points.

An easy work around is to simply insert the [ quote] and [ /unquote] tags (but with no spaces) around the other persons' comments to which you are responding. You do not have to type it in each time as they are available in the drop down from the arrow icon to the right hand side of the smilies' icon above the message box. It says "Insert" when you hover over it :) It does take some time and I would understand if you did not want to do it that way for the sake of your own convenience...

You would not have to copy and paste the other persons' comments each time, though, if that was your concern. When you reply to any post (which effectively quotes it), you would simply insert the closing quote tag [ /quote] <- but with no spaces ;) at the end of the first point you are responding to and then start your response. The rest of the other person's post is still there, right? So after your first point, you would then insert the quote tags around the next point, by highlighting the part you want to respond to, and continue answering in that fashion. One mistake people make is having one too many or too few quote tags, because the closing quote tag from the original quoted post is still there at the end of the quoted person's post. As with anything, it may take a little practice, and making use of the Preview can be helpful in the beginning stages (y):geek:
90% of my postes(yes post-ez) are on my "smart" phone.
It is tedious but a labor of love LOL

If someone tells me it's my duty as an American to vote I could overlook that but my duty to Jesus comes before my duty to America, If someone tells me it's my duty as a christian to vote for X, Y, Z. NOT!

1 Corinthians 5:11 11But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

So I'm not going to vote for one.

Is this really applicable to voting?

Seems like a streeeeeettttch to me.

If you want to take a full position for your argument.......

"Jesus first" this means you would not be paying taxes.
