Because of time, i will answer and explain.
As much as sin is a work (manifestation in the flesh), it is also not a work; you were a sinner from your mother's womb not because of what you did or did not do but because of what Adam did. In the same manner, Christ (second Adam), atones for our sins (reconciles us)- not only you (so called believers) but everyone.
1 John 2:2
He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
This means that salvation also is free based on what Christ already did. All we have to do is
abide by Christ or in Christ's love.
Rom 5:
6You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!
10For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
......
18Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.
Now, how do we abide by Christ's love? we obey His command to love one another. Make no mistake, love is a work.
Where does faith come in? Love beareth all things (1 Cor 13). The one who loves has fulfilled everything.
