Then you do not believe the Gospel, nor Christ, nor God. That is purely your own belief.
What part?
Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have eternal life.
Or
1Jn 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning.
If that which
ye have heard from the beginning
shall remain in you,
ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
So if you don't hold the true teaching of Christ's work on the cross, like some very public figures recently, who denounced Christ after decades of teaching others about, praising, and worshiping Jesus, you would not continue in the Son.
That was written to Christian believers.
Are you going to tell me they were never true believers in Christ?
Since we are born again BY THE WORD OF GOD ITSELF, or the gospel, it appears to me the gospel teaches, it is possible for one to
NOT continue in the Son
IF they fail to
KEEP what they heard from the beginning, in the heart.
The gospel teaches, there is life in Christ, so long as you continue believing.
It's not me who doesn't believe the gospel, because scripture says it's possible for a former believer to go to hell.
Luk 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
Jesus taught some who fail to keep the word of God, fall away from believing, when they believed at the beginning.
Luk 8:12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Luk 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which
for a while believe, and in time of temptation
fall away.
Paul said basically the same thing.
Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and
be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Gal 5:2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that
if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
Gal 5:3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law;
ye are fallen from grace.
Since we are saved by grace through faith, to have fallen from that saving grace, the blood of Christ shall not benefit them in the end.
