Good Morning KJV, Look to your own experience and scripture for what to expect, not me.
Is this how you reply also, when someone says 'how are you doing?'
Good Morning KJV, Look to your own experience and scripture for what to expect, not me.
In your other post where you said something like; "if they were Talmudic thugs" who were you referring to as the "they"?If the whole trouble and debate arose because some believing pharisees were deeply offended by being made brethren with gentiles that they, in the weakness of their conscience, considered unclean?
Is this how you reply also, when someone says 'how are you doing?'
Correction;
I don't think a Christian would be under the curse of the law for obeying "laws" that the Holy Spirit and the Apostles deemed reasonable. Which were enumerated in Acts 15. Specifically.
I'm like Paul, I find those things difficult, they are still a burden for me... well not really a burden because I delight in the law, I just know I'm not capable of it nor am I expected to be capable of it.Good Morning KJV, Look to your own experience and scripture for what to expect, not me.
If the whole trouble and debate arose because some believing pharisees were deeply offended by being made brethren with gentiles that they, in the weakness of their conscience, considered unclean?
they seem to have this weird mindset that we need to keep the Law to generate faith.
their theology is - if you do enough good works, ( Law keeping ), and have enough faith , then God will extend grace to you, as long as you do the works that produce the faith,
this makes sense to the carnel mind, but it is not the Biblical grace, faith, works truth.
No, but KJV likes to compare himself to others and it is just not wise. That could be used as a means to bring other men down to his level and hence negate the work of Christ and the Holy Spirit. The Scripture is the standard men should be looking into, not other men.
In your other post where you said something like; "if they were Talmudic thugs" who were you referring to as the "they"?
See, there again, "like Paul" Brother, you have to put your walk between you and the Holy Spirit who will lead you to follow Jesus.I'm like Paul, I find those things difficult, they are still a burden for me... well not really a burden because I delight in the law, I just know I'm not capable of it nor am I expected to be capable of it.
This is why I question your abilities, I find it hard to believe that anyone can say they're able to obey all the commandments with ease when no one else outside of Jesus has been able to do so.
I would just like a straight answer, do you obey all the ten commandments every day of your life?
I don't think I've ever said the phrase *talmudic thugs* in my life
If it did say that it was a typo, probably meant 'things'??
Why can't you answer the question I'm asking? Do you find it easy to obey every commandment each and every day of your life?See, there again, "like Paul" Brother, you have to put your walk between you and the Holy Spirit who will lead you to follow Jesus.
Even Paul says:
1Co 1:10-13 NIV I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. (11) My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. (12) What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas"; still another, "I follow Christ." (13) Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul?
Follow Jesus' example, not Paul's.
It's not matching the context of what Paul is saying, Post. Paul is saying, DON'T be quick to ask the condition of the food from folks who aren't where the reader is in faith yet. DON'T judge them or cause them to stumble.
So then you don't think a Christian would be under the curse of the law for obeying certain laws you and the Holy Spirit deem are reasonable?
Why can't you answer the question I'm asking? Do you find it easy to obey every commandment each and every day of your life?
This is not hard lol.
Enlighten me, what does this line of questioning resemble? Can anyone recognize what this line of questioning resembles?
Paul says 'eat whatever is sold in the market'
It's the weaker brother - the one who restricts his diet - who isn't to judge, because his judgement is wrong.
It's the stronger brother - the one who eats - who isn't to look with contempt, because his contempt is wrong.
I'm getting no where with SG as far as a truthful answer to whether a believer is capable of obeying the ten commandments flawlessly every day of their life.... What is your opinion Yahshua?Ok we'll leave this alone. I'm not going down yet another rabbit trail away from what I've been trying to discuss with you.
I'll wait for your answer to my question, as I know you like to quote in separate posts.
It held the truth on the gratuitous reckoning of righteousness; but supposed that a mere intellectual "belief" in this truth had a saving power.
What do you mean by your statement above?See, there again, "like Paul" Brother, you have to put your walk between you and the Holy Spirit who will lead you to follow Jesus.
