Um Christ did not get baptised to be saved.

And when it was asked what must I do.

He said BELIEVE IN THE NAME OF ThE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON

He did not add, and be Baptized.

In john3, in john 4 and John 6, Jesus tells us exactly what to do.. ASK IN FAITH
You are wrong;......Yes He did say be baptized!; (study scripture before omitting G-d's intent)

John asked..."why must it be"? Christ said;
Mark 1:4 tells us that baptism is for the remission of sins....."John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins."

Acts 2; 38-40.... Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost....."save yourself".

Acts 22;16..... (Saul required to be baptized)...."And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

Matt.3;11...

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit [] and fire.

Matt 3;14,15... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fullfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Matt., 28: 18-20... And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Mark 16;16... He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

I Peter 3;21....... The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

John 3:5.... Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Gal 3;26-27..... For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ

Acts 2: 38-40.... Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the [a]remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this [b]perverse generation

Acts 9; 14,15,16,18..... And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name.
15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
16 For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
Acts 8:12...... But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Acts 19:5-6..... When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Rom. 6;3,4...know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 ....Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

There are more.
But, if you don't accept these of G-d's word no others will help you, probably.

John the Baptist said exactly what Jesus said, expect that he baptized the Jews who repented: John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. (Mk 1:4) But John's baptism was not Christian baptism.

Since Jesus Himself said that REPENTANCE is for the remission of sins, and He does not contradict Himself, then Christian baptism must be for another reason. And Peter said exactly what Christ said, which means that you are PERSISTING IN ERROR.

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (luke 24:47)

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19)

Baptism in water is mandatory for Christians as Preston39 showed with Scriptures. That's why the christian baptism in water is not the same baptism John applied. In the new christian baptism in water there is something new: it is realized in the name of Jesus ... but it is a baptism in water too. All christians in the first century were baptized in water, even Jesus (with John's baptism) and as he said, he did it "for thus it becometh us to fullfill all righteousness".

I don't believe all baptism in/with water can be valid ... but there is (scripturally) a baptism in water to which every Christian should be "subjected" (this word is a Google translation; I don't feel is the correct one, but that's the idea).

Our first being born involved water, just as our second being born again involves water by baptism.
Easy to understand.

Regarding the man crucified next to Christ whom Christ accepted.
Are there situation exceptions in the Bible?
Christ just showed us that there were.
Both were on the cross so how could that man get baptized?
Common sense!
And yes He was accepted by Christ!

Everyone on this earth able to get to water will not have an excuse.

God knows everything! Nothing and no one is hid from His eyes!

Baptism in water is mandatory for Christians as Preston39 showed with Scriptures.
There is a difference between "mandatory for Christians" and "essential for salvation" (which Preston has been promoting all along). Once a person is saved (justified) by grace through faith, they must be baptized by immersion in water. But water baptism does not regenerate anyone. That is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit prior to baptism. See Acts 10.

Mark 1:4 tells us that baptism is for the remission of sins....."John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins."

Yes scripture is not false.

I would agree with the birthing analogy. Without water God could not make clay . It would be like living on Mars...essential but not a source of spirit life. He then would of not had anything to breath His Spirit life into. . . the dust like chaff would of blown away . Help keeps thing down to earth.

Yes the baptism of Holy Spirit . John's baptism is ceremonial. It does not like a moral laws draw a person closer or in denying provide a greater distance. But is non effective . It is used when a new member has a desire to witness to the world. the purpose of Jesus being baptized. . to begin the ministry. The father said; Go out two by two...The new manner after our High Priest continually (without beginning of days or end of Spirit life) .Previously after a Levi. John the last to be used...

Making it remission of sin destroys the foundation of its use in Exodus.(a ceremonial law as shadow) Remission of sin is not a outward sign gift. The water evaporates.

Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. John 3: 25-2

Water can get a person wet.

John it would seem was sent to prison right after that to make way for the new order. . . cutting off the old... He had doubts and Jesus sent him a message of the gospel the water of the word to represent the Spirit of the word .. to strengthen John's new faith. John then was reassured he had the right man that would raise his new spirit on the last day. You could say like a cup of cold water to a needy brother or sister in the Lord.

There is a great parable in the old testament that helps us to seek out the gospel message as the unseen understanding...

There David was in prison like John.. haing doubts and suffering a famine for hearing the word of God. (good news)

Much to be gleaned from the parable. like how the word three is used... it would seem to represent the end of the matter . Where 30 is used differently . Not saying there was no literal 3 or 30 but again to go along side (para) preaching the suffering of Christ beforehand..

Water or blood are both metaphors used throughout the Bible. They speak of the work of Christ pouring out His Spirit as if it was blood or water .They can be used together to represent Spirit. .

The life of the flesh is in the blood but that life is unseen spiritual life. We walk by the unseen spirit.

And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim. And David was then in an hold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem. And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate! And the three mighty men brake through the host of the Philistines, and drew water out of the well of Bethlehem, that was by the gate, and took it, and brought it to David: nevertheless he would not drink thereof, but poured it out unto the Lord. And he said, Be it far from me, O Lord, that I should do this: is not this the blood of the men that went in jeopardy of their lives? therefore he would not drink it. These things did these three mighty men. 13-17

Blood must be poured out to show a living work was performed in jeopardy of ones own spirit life. The gospel .

The unseen Spirit returned to the Father. Blood and water returned to the dust.

John 19:34But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Well of Bethlehem, the living water of the word (Spirit). Bethlehem, the city of bread to represent the Son of man, Jesus. By the gate to represent Christ the door the way the truth.

If G-d wanted mud He can get mud without water. NOTHING is impossible with G-d.

Its not common sense wisdom of this world..... I would also be careful how you offer the idea God can extend special forgiveness/dispensation in any fashion He wishes. He gives us the prescription 2 Corinthians 4:18 to rightly divide various parables. Hiding it from natural unconverted mankind who must look to the things seen .(water)

If the thief was baptized previously. . . the water would of dried up .What kind of a sign would that show. Water evaporates?

Different kinds of signs follow after. . . using metaphors to represent the unseen work of the holy Spirt that lived in the thief. . The thief spoke in a new tongue sharing the gospel .Previously mocking Jesus…The testimony of the witness that worked in him proved him to be born again. The false doctrines as the poison of the serpent as false prophecy was removed when he was given his new faith. Just as he was raised from the dead all believer are raised to show they have heard the gospel

There is no such thing as "sign gifts" as outward sign. Spiritual gifts not seen. . yes...They are signs a metaphors used but a literal sign. .Who needs one when they have a living faith as a hope that surpasses all human hope the mystery of faith. Where it goes we follow.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Just your opinion indeed. So you believe that that thief may have been converted, was water baptized, and the fruit of that is being crucified as a thief? - (highly unlikely) In Matthew 27:39-43, we see that those who passed by, along with the chief priests scribes and elders blasphemed, mocked and shook their heads at Jesus and EVEN THE ROBBERS WHO WERE CRUCIFIED WITH HIM REVILED HIM WITH THE SAME THING. More fruit? I certainly don't see being crucified as a thief, blaspheming, mocking and shaking your head at Jesus as being the fruit of repentance/faith. Yet, moments later, we see that the thief had a "change of mind" (repentance) placed his faith in Christ for salvation and was saved (Luke 23:40-43). Of course, he died before having the opportunity to be water baptized. Common sense.

speculation at it's best...which is actually ill advised and contradicted in scripture

please remember that Christ had not died, not been buried, not yet risen so what did the thief fall away from according to you?

further, baptism was not yet instituted as we understand it (well those that actually do understand it) so what baptism are you referring to?

John's? that was not ever saving baptism, but go study it and hopefully see it

but hang on...THERE IS NO SAVING BAPTISM

Perhaps I have some mud in my eye. Hope its not a Log..?

Mud of clay is simply another metaphor used for the work of the word of God bringing the gospel .I would think we must compare the spiritual unseen understanding of one parable to another. H20 of all different varieties are used to represent the unseen work of the Holy Spirit. We walk by faith not by what the eyes see,, Its biblical sense the sense of the faith of Christ that works in us.( not of us)

Isaiah 29:18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

John9: 5-6 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay,

John 9:39And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

The effects of spiritual water baptism ...does not change unless the person allows such to happen.

Stick with bible language rather than trying to add to or detract from.

Question? Why do you leave the O out of G....O.....D...?
Out of utmost respect should a document fall into a disrespectful environment...best summarized here:

"Why do we leave out the "o" G-d?

A Note About the Spelling of G-d's Name

Why do we leave out the "o" when referring to G-d?According to Jewish tradition we do not write out the Creator's name in any language, unless as part of a printed book which we know will be preserved with dignity and treated as holy. Refraining from writing out His name is a sign of reverence and awe for the Creator. If this name were to be written out and then, the paper on which it was written would become lost or destroyed, or even if it was brought into an unclean place, this would be showing disrespect and it would be a desecration of His name."

It is a long held Hebrew practice.

Wrong ...again.
