Let me just clue you in a bit....the only people I light up are those that reject truth, deny scripture, twist or skew scripture, peddle a false losable or gained, self maintained salvation....You do not know me, you do not know what I have done in my life, how many people I have led to the LORD or witnessed to, how I am one on one in person, the places and countries I have witnessed in etc. etc. etc....YOU guys assume that just because I lay some heat down, or use sarcasm or cut some no slack that I am some angry guy with no love or compassion and or insight....

NOW...having said that...THE BIBLE does not promote selling out the truth under some banner of oooey gooey love and or compromise for the sake of unity....TWO cannot walk together unless agreed....and make NO MISTAKE.....there are more gospels on this site than a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Parlor and more skewed and twisted ideologies than Heinz 57 steak sauce....

ONE and only one GOSPEL has the power to save men....the rest are fraudulent, have no power to save and will lead the one espousing them straight to the pit.......

If and when you see the simmplicity of Christ, that the end of the Comandment is Love (Christ) out of a pure heart, and sincere Faith (Jesus) and a good conscience," that would be remaining in relationship with God when trouble or dificult people come, and we all have trouble and we need to face the trouble to grow up in Love and not be ofended. Only possible by the Holy Spirit. Thats why rejecting Him is the only sin that cant be forgiven. We cant learn to Love as God Loves without Him obviously. And we only understand diferent languages of Love by the Holy Spirit. And we do fall from Grace to face that we come short, to humble us, so that we dont think to highly of ourselves and learn of Him to be taimed as friends of God.

I do not think Older Women are are called to confront only Younger Women, when it comes to confronting False Doctrine. I know I will problem be Labeled Chauvinistic for that statement, but it is Biblical:

So YES those verses speak to my Heart, and I will earnestly contend against False Doctrine, such as Works Righteousness, Losing One's Salvation, and any other False Doctrines. Yes, I am seriously 70 years old, and was born in 1949. I also was a Volunteer Protestant Chaplain, in California Prisons for 15 years, where I had to learn to stay away from Denominational Barriers. I feel that experience and my age, would be the experience necessary to contend against False Doctrine. I was Saved after three attempt at suicide in 1977 at the age of 29, and the Born Again experience gave me an absolute HUNGER for HIS WORD. And quickly after I was saved sought out a BIBLE TEACHING CHURCH, where they FED MY HUNGER for HIS WORD in sermons that lasted 45 - 60 minutes at a time. I regularly attend a conservative evangelical style of Church.

If you can love yourself so much, why are you claiming you can not love your neighbor as you do yourself?
When you are loving yourself, is it the love of Jesus in you that makes you love yourself so much?

The advice i gave you and i repeat, if loving your neighbor as you love yourself is a burden to you, stop loving yourself that much. Love for self is pride and selfishness, the love of God is about others and not about self.

I cannot get past the fact that a believer has DONE the work of the Heavenly Father....and that is the ONLY WORK that proves salvation before the throne............and the reason I say this is because MANY (plenteous in number) will come before the throne claiming MANY wonderful works in the name of JESUS..he does not say they did not do the works in his name, but he does say that HE NEVER KNEW THEM

LOST MEN do MANY WONDERFUL works every day, they give to charities, work in soup kitchens, open doors for little old ladies, donate to religious organizations, feed the poor, etc........and even in the name of JESUS but are as lost as a goose

No false modesty here. I’m somewhere between “Jesus has my six regardless of my shortfalls” and “forgive me Father, for I am not worthy.” The end result: grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

No one here is saying there is salvation without works.
ONCE you figure out this truth.

I sit reading this in amazement. Not because of the claim, but the fact, and I mean fact,
some hold salvation is without works at all, and any connection is works salvation.

You simply have not read some posts to miss this, or got to know certain individuals.
But then if ones way of expression is exaggerated statements with no checks or boundaries as
if they define the truth rather than reflect or express it, it is missed constantly.

The thing about proof is actually not relevant, because the individuals concerned do not care
what the truth is, they just trumpet their position to the exclusion of anyone else. It is less work
and you do not have to understand others at all. But then those more intellectually challenged are
always the first to declare they know everything ...... while those who know a lot, realise how much

The issue is not works
The issue is why are you doing them?
A. To maintain salvation
B. Because you are saved out of gratitude and trust of God?
Far to many people in here preach works, but for reason A. They reject reason B. And get mad at those who accept reason B, and claim they hate works.

There is a third alternative. People obey Jesus because this is the way of salvation, of life,
of the foundations of the Kingdom. Love is at work in their hearts transforming them into
Christs likeness.

The picture provided by EG is like someone saying they are a doll in the unsaved camp or the saved camp.
Because they are now in the saved camp, they will decide to do nice things.
You may as well say sinners are saved, and if they can be bothered they might help others.

No one who practices sin has seen God or known God. Whoever has been born of God can not practice sin....
I am sure you have heard of the apostle john, those are his words. If you will not hear. Me, at least hear him.

This is someone saying what scripture says, but yet has to actually realise what it means.
It means we walk like Jesus, that there is no barrier between us and fulfilling the promises of
following and obeying Christ. Oddly I have yet to read this truth to actually dawn on this person,
they are so used to just accepting ideas and not connecting them, I do wonder how lost they really are.
