I would like to discuss the Salvation process. And I want to start at the very beginning of everyones life.

I'll do this by asking a series of questions that will establish points of reference during our journey.

1) Are we born into this world with the Spirit of Christ already in us?

Yes or No?

No. You are born into this world un-saved as a sinner and your Father is Satan (John 8:44).

Agreed ! As Rom.8:9 states, if we are not in Him and His Spirit is not in us, we are none of His.

In that beginning state of being, because we don't have the Spirit of Christ, Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours yet either? Correct?

Confused with your reply.

We agreed that we are not born with the Spirit of Christ.

Without the Spirit of Christ, Christ is not ours yet, correct?

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

The whosoever includes the un-saved!

So you are saying we all have the Spirit of Christ at birth , I thought you said no!

Read Rom. 8:9 and see if we can get on the same page.

At birth we belong to the Devil. However, many un-saved people received blessings from Jesus. Example, the scripture says that He healed them all:

“Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them, and healed them.” Luke 4:40

Short answer "NO". And that is why Jesus said over and over again " YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN".
Thank you!

Now, since we don't have the Spirit of Christ, as per Rom.8:9, Christ is not ours yet either, correct?

If you have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, repented, and been converted, you have received THE GIFT of the Holy Spirit. And it is the Holy Spirit who brings about the New Birth supernaturally, in order to make you a child of God. And He then indwells you. But only you and God know if this is true for you personally. But it would be true for every genuine Christian.

This is not hard to understand! Your making a moutain out of a mole hill. Read all of Romans 8 and tell me what point the Apostle Paul is making according to the context? Secondly, who is Paul writing to, believers or unbelievers?

Like I said in the OP, I'm establishing points of reference.

When we are born do we have Spirit of Christ?

If you say no, because we don't have the Spirit of Christ, Christ is not ours yet either. As per Rom. 8:9

Do you agree?

The Salvation journey has many things that not only must happen, but happen in the correct order.

I'm attempting to highlight those happenings in the right order, establishing points that can be returned to for verification of need be.

Are we in agreement so far? No Spirit of Christ at birth? So at birth Christ is not ours yet either?

Well let me try it this way? At what point of reference did you become a Christian and what did you do to become a Christian? In other words, kindly explain your salvation journey? And just in case, do you consider yourself a Christian, and if so how long have you been a Christian? PS: Just so you know I am asking these questions for a reason.

That's basically what I'm doing, walking you through, my understanding of the Salvation experience.

Doesn't sound like you have an interest to go.

I'll hang out to see if someone does.

John 1v9: "That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world."

Matt 19v14: "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Rom 7v9: "I was alive once without the law..."

These verses proves your statement false!

Ya,I'm not taking into account that children are at the age of accountability.

But that is not the same as being given the Spirit of Christ.

So Jb, are you saying we are born into this world with the Spirit of Christ already in us?
