Amen! Satan is powerless against Jesus! The devil is such a deceiver, he doesn't want people to know he has always been in the bottomless pit.
Satan is not and has never been in the Abyss. According to Rev.9:1 and 20:1, it requires a key to open it and lock it. Therefore, Satan cannot just come and go in and out as he pleases. If a spirit gets put in there, they're staying until it's reopened. The truth is that Satan is currently out in the world and he also still access to heaven. Both Peter and Paul demonstrate that Satan is out in the world:
"In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
"If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And if I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven it in the presence of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan should not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes."
"hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord."
"Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour."
From just the scriptures above, it is obvious that Satan is not in the Abyss. For if he was, he would not have opportunity to deceive the inhabitants of the earth. However, there will be a time when he will be put into the Abyss, but that will not take place until the Lord returns to end the age and establish his millennial kingdom. (Rev.20:1-7)
Currently, there is another fallen angel in the Abyss called destroyer. He has authority over those demonic beings who are released at the sounding of the 5th trumpet, where at which time he will also come up out of the Abyss (Rev.11:7, 17:8, 11).
So we know that since Satan is shown to be out in the world and this beast from the Abyss is revealed to come up out of the Abyss, then we know that the Satan and the angel/beast of the Abyss are two individual fallen angels that will be working together for the same evil goal, as will all the other fallen angels/demons.
