Hello to you.

I have a question about what you guys think about this.
I was called of God in december 2016, and started my journey with Him.

It came to a point later, where I acted on the word written in Mark 10:29-30.
29 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,
30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Only to later, and after a long journey, be brought back the the acknowledgement that all my own efforts are worthless, - I was able to say as Paul, that I count it all as dung, so I may know Christ and the power of His resurrection. I realize now that the power of the Cross, and Jesus Christ crucified is the wisdom of God, and my only hope. This is where my righteousness is found, by faith.

I realized also, that the suffering and persecution mentioned in the verses above, is directed towards Jews that comes to faith, and not to gentile believers, where they in families where the majority still claims righteousness by the observation of the Torah - can persecute those that break from observations of law, and profess godliness and righteousness by faith. This is the suffering and persecutions those that profess faith in Christ often must endure, and not for the commands one observes, - but doesn't observe, since they under the New testament is fulfilled by faith in Jesus.
One is persecuted for what one professes to believe. That Christ has finished the work!

Well, my point is that God revealed a calling on my life, and the power of God flows only when I accept it, but I have struggled with it, because of the bondage of religion, and condemnation. It is written that when our hearts condemn us, we can have no confidence before Him. He has given me faith that anything is possible, but because of religion, and bondage by law, I have let myself come in under bondage. This is the reason I am bringing this thread up, to maybe gain some clarity, and to hear your matter on the subject, if you support me, or not, and happily also the reasons why, if you would care to explain.

This is the scenario. Let's say God told me, a brother of low degree, that He is going to exalt me, and take me on high. This is written in James 1:9.
He has given me a faith where I believe Him when He says: All things are possible if you believe, and that I have whatever I want from Him.
We live in a time and era where wealth is stored up, and there are bundles of cash out there, that a believer can have if he or she only asks God.
I am talking about the lotteries.

I know that I have whatever I ask of Him, but I want to clear out the reasons and accusations before I receive it, so if any would engage me in a conversation about this, I would be very happy. I do not believe in luck, chance and coincidence. If I ask God, there is a 100%, 1/1 chance that I get what I ask of Him, I do not doubt that, and believe in the arm of the Lord.
We have different callings in our lives, and roles to fulfill in the body of Christ, and I know that it is not a coincidence that God has given me this kind of faith, and I have gotten much assurance from Him along the way. I have also planned how to use what I have been asking Him for, in detail, and know the exact route to take when I have what I ask - but would like to hear from you.

What do you think about this?
Do I have any support?
If yes. Why do you support this way?
If no. Why do you not support it?

Thank you for your time.
With warm regards.

I John 5:14
14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

Many tend to skip over the part that says "according to his will" and think God is a genie based off this.
And those that don't miss it are so convinced they are in gods will they humble themselves to consider the possibility they may not actually be.
In my experience people who convince themselves God is a genie (or that they are in gods will) don't like to consider that they are wrong. It usually takes a smack of reality to convince them otherwise, and then they are often surprised and angry at God for things not going there way.
Besides most people that come here claiming to want help or other views argue with anyone who disagrees because what they're really here for is to find people to confirm what they want to hear. Making it generally useless to bother.

Hello Subumanoidal. Thank you for joining the conversation. We are all different, and I would say that you shouldn’t base your opinion of me as a truth from what you have experienced with others in the past, and at least believe me when I say that I am genuinely interested in discussing this matter. I am happy that you replied.

You mentioned one of the scriptures of ask and receive, but what are your opinion of all the others, that mention even that He will give us whatever we ask, and the desires of our heart?

Can I ask you what you believe His will to be, and how would you receive an answer to your own prayers?

Do you think my prayer to Him is a bad thing? If you do, I am interested in knowing the reason why you think this, if you want to answer.

I would rather say that God is my Father, and that I do believe him to be a supernatural, miracle working God.

You mentioned that it depends on His will, do you know what His will is? And what about the parts of ask, and He will give you the desires of your heart, what do you think about that one?

I've no idea where you're getting these ideas.
That scripture would be the response. And the point of the scripture is "according to his will". That removes the prosperity gospel element that turns god into a genie at our beck and call to grant us whatever our wicked heart (Jer 17:9) desires.

Obviously that scripture must always be true of everything. It's mentioned once. It must apply to all other scriptures on the topic as well. Even if it didn't explicitly say that that would still be true.

We are discussing the individual interaction and you ask me a question in the most broad of terms that removes the individual. If one prays and it is not Gods will for that individual's prayer, then it won't be granted. Asking what Gods will is, in such a general, broad term is not the same as asking what Gods will is for myself (or you and yourself). Therefore it's unanswerable in the context.

At what point did anything i say even hint at the notion of God not being father or capable of miracles or not supernatural? I didn't. That is merely a fabrication you brought up that has no footing in this conversation. The diversion won't work.
You are continually coming back to the point that you believe in, even to the point of asking me in twice in one post.
You claim that i shouldn't base my opinion on past experiences and that you are different. Yet, just like past experiences you have made up ideas that are nothing even remotely close to anything i've said and seem to imply that i have said such things.
"I would rather say that God is my Father, and that I do believe him to be a supernatural, miracle working God" by saying 'i would rather' is to suggest i said the opposite. I did not. A rather insincere and distasteful tactic i see used by people interested in defending what they claim they are not. Therefore this is not worthy my time, you've shown your hand.

I will say to this.......where your treasure is,there will you heart be also! The gifts and calling of God are without repentance! If you feel that you have been given much faith it should be used to build up His kingdom! For what shall a man gain if he has the wealth of the world and loses his soul? Praying for you to receive wisdom and guidance thru the word under the leadership of the Holy Spirit!🙏🙏🙏

Even though this question was for Sub, I might be able to answer some questions from personal experience.

You should always pray God's will.. And you might ask " what is the will of God". It is His desire only. And when you pray
there should be no questions, only affirm His will by agreeing that He knows what you need, and that all of His desires will be met.
You cannot bring any new content to God in the forms of doubt or questions and things/ realities outside of your perspective.
An example of what this looks like is " God please help me i don't know how i am going to get money for the bills this week"
or " If it be your will could you help me." These type of prayers are faithless and not agreeing with God's will.
Prayers to God should only be affirmations/ agreeing with Gods word, as His son, through Christ that His will/desire
will be met over a situation, and just life in general, because He does have control over them all.

What i think about your prayer is, it is nice, and a good thing, but it is not His will, it's yours, your plans, your desire. Rather you should pray/agree with Him that His will be done over the lotto or whatever it is, and remove yourself from it. Remove your wishes, what you
want to see happen, or what you hope to happen from the equation, and just let Him do what He does, as it is all about Him getting
what He wanted first. Then what could end up happening is He could use you as a medium for whatever it was to glorify Himself
through it. I have seen this type of thing many times. But the goal is always to keep it about Him getting what He wants and
agreeing that He will get what He wanted in His will. A lot of people make the mistake of trying to get God to agree with them, to
get what they want, when it should be the other way around. We need to agree with Him to get what He wants first, and then we can see what happens
after.

As for the desires of your heart, i have actually had that happen to me many times where i would want or desire something on a whim
but instead i chose to put His will first and shortly after it appears. An example of what this looks like is the time i decided that
i would dedicate Saturday to God, so all i did that day was just focus my intention to God, as i offered myself. I like spending time
with myself, but this day i spent time with God all day. The day before on a whim i had just randomly thought " wow i haven't had
any decent fish in a while, would be cool to have some." And then i just left the thought alone because it was just a random
passing thought, and i went about my day. Sometime during the next day (after the day i dedicated to God) my mom comes by my house with a whole bunch of cod that she had been given by my grandmother, who got them from her church. Apparently some guy who goes to her church caught a bunch of them or something and was giving them away. Man... I ate so much of that cod i was just about tired of them by day three. So yea God will use things and people to answer prayers to glorify Himself, even things you didn't really ask for openly.

In regards to religion/ denomination ect... I don't know much about that. Personally i just focus God, Christ and i observe others,
but i don't affiliate with groups, religions and traditions of men. My suggestion for you being in bondage is to just cut ties
with it, and understand that you might need to start your learning over from square one like i did. When you are willing to go that
far God will honor it and give you understanding swiftly. A lot of people wont take that route though, because they just can't
let go. Few are willing to cast aside wisdom especially if they have spent so much time accumulating so much.

Indeed all efforts are pointless when you neglect to agree with, affirm and conform the will of God first... It is impossible to bend
God into doing what we want Him to do for us for our desires, trust me i have tried. I think the reason for this is because God is highly
identity/ Ego based, and for Him to do something outside of His will/word would deny Him of His name/reputation..... Rather, as a branch of the true vine it makes more sense to conform to what He says and agree with Him, that way people can see Him stay true to His word, proving that He is who He says He is.

I hope this answered some of your questions or helped somebody, and yea don't worry about not posting this in the bible
discussion forum part. Actually, it's a good thing you didn't post there because i wouldn't have seen it as i don't go in there anymore.

He only acts on his word and purpose.
Iow,be lead of the Spirit.

All the great men of the bible went trough testing and proving.
Dark valleys where they are brought to "destruction". Where they are in faith crisis.
Without those trials we are fat hand fed fish that taste like mud when we are served up to Gods table
