God speaks to us through books, people, sermons, through everything or anything.
This week God has spoken to me about revival.
Come to me again and again with all your heart and with fasting ( not a food fast but a fast from the world and all of its distractions, vanity, sex, drugs, money, success, video game, TV, phone whatever ) come to me with all your heart again and again until our relationship is restored.
Everyone is searching for something. alot of people dont know what it is. Alot of people are unsatisfied with life. They go around trying to fill themselves with external factors. But really not knowing that the only one who can satisfy is God. only God is big enough to fill your the emptyness in your soul.
Perhaps you are like me. before you felt very annointed and for some reason your passion went dying down. you still seeked God but you noticed it wasn't like before. but i believe God will increase his spirit if you seek him with all your heart and not religously. in order to connect with God you must disconnect with the world. ( if you love the world you become an enemy of God ) ( if you seek to enjoy the pleasures of this world you are not fit for Gods kingdom )
So anyway i think my problem has been that i was still praying but perhaps i wasnt seeking God with all my heart as i was before. so i am going on a 40 day fast from the world. i will still go to work but before and after work i will seek the lord with all my heart and stay away from my cell phone.
i am on day number 3 and i feel great and super passionate about God.
God said in the book of Joel go on a fast, gather the assembly, declare a fast, and afterward, i will pour down my spirit so strong, that everyone will be filled and prophecy and have visions and dreams etc.
anyway i feel great and blessed and i feel revived. and satisified, and i even have more strength i feel better, less load to carry etc.
refreshed.

anyway please share what God has spoken to you this week it would be nice to know.

Looking back, I thought I was imagining a faint image of Jesus, but it could also be possible that I "saw" Jesus, but thought that it was mere imagination back then

While expecting ...


This sure gives a whole new meaning to "seek Him and you shall find Him"

Back somewhere closer to the day of my salvation, guessing 2 months after I got saved, I think I had vague awareness of Jesus saying "my child, enough said" while I was venting on paper about struggles

I'm not even sure how I sensed Jesus, and ... if I were to guess at the hand gesture, it's probably laying his hand on my shoulder as if trying to calm me while trying to assure me "my child, enough said"

for a long time, I didn't feel any of that, for reasons I'm not sure of, but I sensed it once back then and almost forgot about it

Rant:
yes there's still sinful desires in my heart, but think of it this way



can secular wisdom change our heart for purity? if it could, then we wouldn't have saved mountains of sin



if it could, then we wouldn't have to "give in" to sin.



if it could, then ...



Jesus just told me, "my child, enough said"



ok, the point is, for purity, secular wisdom is not an option

I think one time, after I took a good nap and feel refreshed, before I indulge in how good that feels, I somehow decided to read the Bible which sounds like "relaxing documentary", and then decided to take a relaxed reading of the Word, and in a relaxed position, it speaks to me, and it is not even my doing, eventually, I somehow sense a faint subtle essence of I'm guessing 20-30 foot tall Jesus hoovering over me, repeatedly saying "my child, my child, my child" repeatedly

Like he was holding me by the chair that I sit on (similar to how I'm holding the Bible as I drink upon the milk of the word) which I believe is "cradling me"

He told me to love others and trust Him! There would things in my future shortly that I must allow the Holy Ghost to lead me thru. Doors that He would shut and others He would open! Please pray I yield completely into his hand as willing clay. Thank you! This is thought provoking thread. Blessings !

Exactly, God's grace is sufficient.

This was the verse of the day, and it really was God helping me. I have OCD so often my thoughts and emotions run away from me, and I try desperately to get them in line on my own. Often times that is the worst thing to do.

One of the commandments says, Thou shalt have no other God's before me. People think that might mean, making a stature, of some sort, stick, clay what ever, but that is material. How many have made things in their hearts, a God, before him. How many love that thing, and God is just a name. A love, a desire for, that you might need, something you just think about, all the time, an addiction, person, anything could become your God, how's money for one.
