Should I be shocked and dismayed to be witness to the abominations -including Scripture twisting- I have seen self-professed Christians commit in this very thread?
You are in denial of your failure to understand and uphold the meaning and righteousness of scripture.
It is you that fails to understand the truth of our calling to walk in truth and in the light by the power of our testimonies to being
sanctified and to be morally separate from the world.
You still have not challenged the notion that same-sex couples can marry and have a wedding.

Obviously marriage is extremely important to Jesus and the Father, both in the OT and the NT.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, Male and female made he them.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;
8 and the twain shall become one flesh: so that they are no more twain, but one flesh.
Matthew 10:

Even a rapist was bound under the law to officially "marry" his victim
This gives us all some idea of how important the value of intercourse is to God that it needs to be dealt with by marriage - for
the two shall become one flesh. God is not just dealing with physical unions between men and women for there is obviously a
profound spiritual component to marriage that is part of our creation and purpose.

Jesus is not twisting scripture when he refers to marriage and connects this virtue right back to the beginning as God
created it to be so.
Male and female he created them; be fruitful and multiply: this is all about men and women becoming husbands and wives and
also fathers and mothers.
There is no place in the scriptures for same-sex couples or their unions.

How hard is it to understand that a MARRIAGE is between a MAN AND A WOMAN?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cats Flipping Tables.png

Not between two men, and not between two women.. MAN AND WOMAN. Period, end of story.

Y'all are deluded if you think otherwise..

This is very well written and completely biblical. Thank you:)

The existence of sin should never be used to excuse sin as though people do not have a choice.

Ok was Keven always practicing gay or did he 'come out' recently. I think the thing here is hes Fatherless. Saul may be taking advantage of that. I know many gay men have issues with absent fathers, all the ones i encountered didnt have dads around growing up. How old is saul.
We've always suspected Kevin was 'different', but he only came out 2 years ago after he met Saul. He and Saul are early 30's. It's funny because Kevin is pretty active and Saul is just lazy.

The disagreement is about what he is implying, due to the quoted post.

He could have said what he said without that quote. But I do agree that the “disagreement” is not accurate enough on that.

I’m a little tired of being misunderstood by some on here. Maybe I’m not expressing myself in a comprehensible manner, but funny thing is, it’s the same people misunderstanding every time lol.
People read with the intent to respond, not to listen.

But would He have gone to a queer wedding, and sat in the audience quietly and not uttered one word in objection?? NOPE..
Actually there were several times Jesus remained silence in the face of evil. Sometimes silence is the best answer.

It's not hate speech at all, and I resent that comment. So as a Christian, Ricky did the right thing in not standing up for Jesus? I DON'T THINK SO. People NEED to be bold in doing what's right for Jesus. And being bold is NOT sitting there, wondering if anyone else will speak up on this abomination, because he's too timid to do it himself. Timidity won't get you anywhere.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is keep quiet. A message that isn't listened to closes doors. That little voice of right and wrong that Kevin responded to, that's going to grow and condemn him until he has to talk about it. Then who is he going to go to - someone who he knows will just harrass and bash him, or someone who was willing to withhold judgment in order to keep the door open? Several of the disciples were warned at various times not to go to various places because they weren't ready to receive the message yet. Shoving unwanted dictates down people's throat just guarantees they will NOT come to you when they are ready to talk.

Ricky's nephew knows what his stand is on gay marriage. BUT, what's wrong with making sure that the nephew's partner also knows what Ricky's stand is? Or making sure that EVERY ONE at that event knows what his stand is? If it were me there, I'd be asking the pastor how he could possibly, in good Christian standing, perform a sinful ceremony and still live with himself. I'd ask the congregation WHY they are taking place in such an abomination, by sitting there and witnessing this evilty. Lastly, I'd ask the nephew and his partner if they're ready to face the wrath of God, lest they repent and call off this farce forever.

There is a reason why the pastor calls for objections at a wedding, Grace. It's so that whomever knows a legit, just reason why the two people shouldn't be married can stand up and have their reasons heard. In the case of gay marriage, I'd say that it being unnatural, gross and not right is reason enough to stand up and open one's mouth.
Just for the record, one does not have to be a pastor to perform a wedding. I believe they went to a justice of the peace. (Now there's an oxymoron).

who is the pastor of the wedding?

the pastor can quote scripture against homosexuality

and be like

Ricky's nephew, do you, as a christian, be willing to repent of all sin that God will convict you of, etc.\

the pastor is in the perfect position to preach

or, simpler yet, cancel the wedding
Ricky's nephew is not a Christian

Well, I disagree on the first part. Can you please explain to me just HOW you can a message listened to, if you don't speak up on it? "Cause I don't get that..

It's called 'timing'. Seeds planted before the ground is ready are NOT going to grow. That's why farmers plant in the spring, not in the winter.

Big deal. Pastor, peace justice, or Elvis himself-- they must have to have some sort of official license to be able to perform ceremonies.

And what if the messenger always thinks that the timing is ALWAYS wrong? And even when planted, there ain't no guarantee that flowers WILL bloom.. lol

Too bad that Kevin's sense of right and wrong didn't kick in until after this..farce was over with, he could've just canceled it for good instead of just refusing to kiss his partner.

Cuz now he's headed for a boat load of trouble and sorrow.

Yes but I don't think justices of the peace would be expected to spout God's word

Yes but by waiting for the ground to thaw you greatly increase your chances of it taking root.
