Science still believes in fairytales such as evolution and evolutionary genetics.
What would unbelievers know about the nature of sin and a fallen and corrupted creation?

A bit off topic, but apropos with just how dramatically faster we are moving toward true persecution: This from a gentleman on Facebook: David Fink

Today we went to minister at the Kentuckiana pride festival. We were spit on and cursed, we had people screaming at us.I got hit in the face with a bag of dog crap that someone threw at me while I was having a conversation with another person. We saw many people with young children going into the festival as well as many men and women who were pretty much naked. We saw 14 or 15 year old boys and girls walking around sucking on rainbow striped lollipops that were shaped like male genitalia. They were also serving corndogs shaped like penises and serving bananas for the children. We saw parents putting rainbow striped dog collars on their infants. We heard stories from young people about how they were sexually abused. We heard people cheer for anal sex while they were given CDC facts about the dangers of HIV in the homosexual community. Among all of this there was a pretty decent sized crowd of people who stayed around and listened to the gospel for quite some time. There were hundreds of tracts given out and gospel conversations had. Christs name was lifted up and hope was offered to the lost who were so obviously straining under the weight of their sin. If you think this pride thing is all about love and that children are not being targeted and indoctrinated with this destructive lifestyle then you are not paying attention. May the Lord have mercy!
(About the cross....
My brother Bryan, was holding the cross at the Louisville Pride Festival, and many individuals came up to the cross to place their LGBTQ stickers on it, to mock him. At first, he started taking them off, but he decided to keep them on. This was symbolic imagery, showing how Christ died for the sin of homosexuality and the lifestyle. When individuals would walk up to the cross, he would tell them "Christ died for the sin of homosexuality and shed his blood for it. Repent and believe.")

But it is how each of us conducts ourselves that gets the word out to the sinners.

Contemplate that.
yes should be doer's of the Word, the Power of Salvation is not in our action it is in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The word of God says 1cor 1:18" For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe."

It is The Plan of God that preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ that saves people. Our conduct alone is not the Gospel. Nowhere is the great commission given by Jesus are we only to live our faith we are to testify of it. Christians who are persecuted and killed today are not killed because of what they do they are killed for what they have said.

Yea preach it.
I wouldnt go to a gay pride thing or wedding just to 'hang out' what would be the point. People wont know you are a christian by just looking at you. You need to testify, if you dont say anything people will just think you are there to partake in their sin, another potential willing participant in their orgies.

Its like when people go to a bar, people go or presume you are there to drink alcohol, snort coke, or hook up with someone. Most people are not going to bars to be the sober drivers of all the drunkards. Unless that is what you do in your spare time...

Now, Mr. CS1, what on earth is this? You have taken what I said and you have given it a personal twist.

Furthermore you have made yourself the omniscient fly on the wall that knows every single thing a person, in this case me, is to do and say at a reception. Then, after creating this straw man, an attack seems to be due.

Why?

Why don’t you ask people what they mean when you disagree with them instead of going full blast on them?

You, sir, have taken what I said and blasted it for what You put into it.

That’s not a fair way of debating.

Also you are making assumptions about things you don’t know the first thing about? Why?

I have preached the gospel to people under many circumstances way more unpleasant than what any sinful wedding reception would be. But you’re treating me like some second class Christian. Must be nice up on that high horse of yours.

Thanks for sharing. That pretty much sums up what it is like to preach to people not willing to accept the Lord and the Holy Bible.

Those people are really making a difference compared to the silent-stay-at-home-disciples I have seen around here lately lol.

The disagreement is about what he is implying, due to the quoted post.

He could have said what he said without that quote. But I do agree that the “disagreement” is not accurate enough on that.

I’m a little tired of being misunderstood by some on here. Maybe I’m not expressing myself in a comprehensible manner, but funny thing is, it’s the same people misunderstanding every time lol.

Complete passage>
1 Corinthians 1:18-25 18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate." 20Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. NIV

attack me all you want. I have not gone full blast on you, I have just responded to what you have said. Now I need to ask you what you mean after you have posted what you have said? I am not attacking you, I just don't agree with the inept form of gospel modeling some have come a custom to doing. I asked a very clear question you were vague.

I asked how many people were saved by the method of going to a gay wedding or reception or bar or strip club etc.., and won someone to the Lord? That's all. The Idea Jesus just showed up to these kinds of place and did not say "Go and Sin no more" but just was there for what? Moral Support? IF Jesus went to a gay wedding and did not say anything to those their for them to repent and did not say a thing, just showed up, those there would create a NEW doctrine of How Jesus approves of gays because he went to a gay wedding.

Where do you get the idea that I’m just showing up?

First of all: if a Christian is showing up he or she will stand tall as a reminder only by presence.

Secondly, I don’t shut up or bow to anyone except The Lord.

I preach the Gospel.

Yet it’s my impression that you imply that I’d just stand quietly in a corner at a reception.

Hopefully I am wrong thinking you are.

I did not read your comment as personal just disagreeing with the view and challenging the it from a scriptural lens.

I'm sorry showing up to a place where one is sinning like some kind of holy stop sign I do not agree with. Preaching is with words not done in silent. You please correct me your method is more like Westboro Baptist? You would shout during the reception REPENT!!!! ?

Just asking

He was responding to Susanna..
Thank you for adding clarity in regards to this. You need a scorecard to track all that's going on in this thread to see who's winning or losing. I know that I got my fair share of red X's for some of my posts. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but probably depends on who's dishing it out and how I chose to respond.

Christian who has gone to a gay wedding and such no different than a bar or strip club have not helped the cause of Christ but ignorantly were used to justify sin. They played the Christian and used a guilt trip so they would come. it is a lot harder to normalize a sin when there is little support for it Christ drank got booze legalized, Christians smoke weed, got that legalized, Christians to go gay weddings now that too has been redefined. Kind of like the ole Pastors said to the other pastor if you will not stand for God and the Bible when is it unpopular how will you do so when they make it legal?
