I believe Scripture does not record one word concerning homosexuality spoken by Jesus as He walked this earth. In fact, it is a fact He did not. but I do sincerely believe we need to be cautious how we go about living and bearing witness.
So now we are getting somewhere. It's not because it's an ungodly wedding. It's because they are homosexuals. It would be ok to go to either venue and sin is not the issue then it's just that particular sin.
I've never been to a gay wedding or reception but if my cousin were to marry his partner that helps take care of my 90 year old aunt were to have a civil ceremony I'd probley go. I know they would be respectful and not flaunt their choice for same sex but rather their love and devotion for one another. I could overlook that. I don't know any swingers. In fact, I recently re-read some of our PMs to each other from when I retuned last year following my hiatus, and was reminded that despite any differences we might now seem to be having, we share a love of God and Jesus Christ and His revealed written Word, and have stood side by side in other threads on other issues and appreciated each other's presence very muchI know there is no recorded statement from Jesus about homosexuality that is not my point....but I stated it plainly is you happy now!!

I know why I have said what I have said, also, and stand by it: Jesus displayed the love of God to us while we were yet sinners. God met me where I was at. He did not wait for me to clean up my act before He revealed Himself, His unconditional love, and His forgiveness through His Son, to me. For this I am grateful.

Oh, I've seen enough on you tube. You are speaking out of context. We are not talking about furries or bestiality or some one marrying them self. I don't think I've ever known any one of our generation that was a virgin when they got married. Should we boycott the weddings because they are fornicators? Do you think it justified to ignore a loved one because we do not approve of their lifestyle?People need to examine the all the possible implications and ramifications of what they think is loving and supportive

I already said that Christians make an inordinate amount of noise concerning something Jesus said nothing about while He walked this world, and it seems completely disproportionate to me. In fact I suspect that homosexuals get singled out because it is the one and only sin that most Christians will not themselves commit. Somehow that allows them to give themselves permission to condemn homosexuals as if they were justified to stand in judgement of non-believers even though Paul said we have no business doing such. I heard a woman at a meeting recently saying that she, for a time, thought that if she forgave someone for behavior she found unacceptable, that it meant she condoned that behavior. Thankfully she came to realize the error of her ways. She is a ninety year old, who was celebrating 45 years of continuous sobriety, one day at a time. She hangs out with drunks and drug addicts who are in the thick of their disease, because she knows she can help them, if and when they become willing to listen.
