Those who are secure in their relationships and have not lost someone close to them often fail to
understand the devastating effect it has, which changes who one is. Losing an arm begins to
come close, you will never be the same again. People are defined by their best interactions,
not the last ones, which some confuse in this grief, which can be moved on from.
A friend of my wifes father died recently and he did not want a funeral. That was sad as often
funerals are good for the family and friends to let go, to accept what has happened and to
celebrate the person who has blessed them in their life. And so much more so when they are
with the Lord and know His love and Spirit in their life, Amen, Praise the Lord.
The mixed emotions of Mary at the tomb wanting to show her love of Jesus, and then seeing
Him alive, that must have been hard, and yet pure joy. To meet our family in heaven, Amen,
what a joy, what grace awaits us to be with Him there, Amen.
