So sorry but your desires have take you into the weeds. Zeal is no replacement for fidelity. You only wish you could pronounce condemnation upon me. I come only to call you to repentance not to condemnation.

Paul said if not I have when he spoke of praying in tongues. Even here if we follow your illogical line of reasoning there is still no evidence that praying in a tongue you do not understand. Paul clearly says he will pray with understanding.1 Cor 14:15

For the cause of Christ
Roger
The understanding is interpretation. Another gift. Or if another who hears interprets it as a native language.

You don't want to accept that there are tongues of angels too. But, it's scripture. Funny how many only pick and choose what they want to believe.

So that tells me what he believes?

I can post the same scripture and say that is what I believe, (And I believe everyone one of the scripture he posts) yet we believe different thangs, how does that help?

One things is for sure. I am not afraid to tell you or anyone else what I believe. If you ask me yes or no. I will not beat around the bush and try to hide

Let me ask you. Do you believe one must be baptized in water to be saved? Or are you afraid to say it too?

God's Word speaks for itself.
So your afraid to say..

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!

Dude.. You should be ashamed.

I pray you do not go around trying to get people to see your way, Your to afraid to even answer what you believe.

I believe every passage you post is from God. Just not the same interpretation as you..

One thing I am not afraid to say is this, When it comes to remission of sin, and salvation, IT IS NOT by the means of water baptism (my answer is no)

Why are you so afraid to say yes or no?

Of course, I know your answer, You believe yes, that salvation is through water baptism, I just want you to comfirm that what I think you believe is right, is it?

What about water baptism, Where does that come it, is it where we receive remission of sin? hence where we are initially saved?

Some believe so, others believe it's a symbol.

I just had the desire and no understanding at the time. But, personally what I experienced? Oh my there is that word again....my salvation was the day that Jesus asked me which way I would go, and I said Lord I'll go your way, even if another doesn't. And he didn't.

1972, the day our son died. Both sorrowful, yet joy. Figure that one out.

I draw a line between scoffers and those who hate the actual gospel

not going to cross it either. only God can cross that line if He chooses to do so

salvation is by the blood of the Lamb...

since I never have stated baptism is anything other than ordained by God, what are you trying to say?

you just will spit into the wind every time and no one can help you
Well you have stated no one in this thread believes salvation is obtained through baptism. Do you still hold to this view. Or has your view changed?

Hey 7...
I know there are thousands upon thousands that go out to places all over the world spreading the good news , that was not my point...
I am talking about the faith healers , you know the ones that have such a bad rep who like to show off for the cameras , these I am talking about ...

I am not flinging stones , I am speaking as I find from seeing with my own eyes ...
Once again , I am NOT talking about the missionaries that are truly led by the Holy Spirit of God to go out and do God's work , I am talking about these clowns who are claiming to be walking in the Holy Spirit when they are in fact doing harm...

And I think you are kind of assuming I know nothing about the field work that is done in the LORDS name , you are wrong , just because I stated I do not know much about tongues , does not make me foolish to other things...xox...

Rosemary

I have been in this particular forum for more than the info under my avatar suggests. I have left and come back

what you are calling 'faith healers' most here will refer to as wof or word of faith

everyone is a missionary Rosemary. everyone. in every way we act on this planet the invisible world records it and takes note

I'm not wrong. and time will show that. I have prayed for others for healing...I have cast demons out of a few...I have cried with some and been happy with others. I have given of my time, my money and provided for those without. that is being a missionary to this world Rosemary. no rewards. I have prayed with those who were hurting and taken every opportunity God has presented to me to be faithful in the little I have. I have fought spiritual battles and been attacked by demonic people who are actual witches and have real power. not bragging...just basically saying I have a record before God and man and the false judging that is being done in this thread will have consequences for those who do it

I cannot answer for those who abuse the gifts or make money in Jesus name but they will answer for themselves

are YOU faithful? yes? then praise God because He is keeping you

and I am awfully sorry, but you are fling stones. they were handed to you be the not by works thread gang

Of course none of this stuff is Biblical, but why let that little detail get in the way.

Well we certainly can see what is "always on your mind".

So tell me how this doesn't equate to a desire for violence? Unless you think it's just a funny joke?

Nothing to figure out. Praise God for that day, All things work together for the good..

I just wanted your view on water baptism, since it seems to have been made a point of contention in this thread

I have not read every response...I have 9 notices right now I am trying to keep up with

I didn't see where someone said baptism is a part of salvation and I don't believe that

it is plainly an ordinance however as identified by Jesus

however, stating above I have a view on this? not really...it was an observation.

please don't try the mind control stunt with me. I can read

but I disagree with someone stating if you are not baptized you are not saved

I mean how many other things are we, each of us, disobedient in every day and don't mean to?

well now I'm up to 10 notices

but you go ahead and show me where someone is saying what I say I didn't see

I will say I was wrong because I would be wrong if it is as you say

simple

um...I've rubbed my eyes, put drops in, put on my readers and no matter what the only one talking violence is Mr Ed

stones replied that it seems violence is always on your mind...that's how I read it anyway

try to get some rest so your comprehension improves

and maybe not so many videos

they are robbing you of common sense

The desire to pull down Pentecostalism. And experiences of the Spirit.

How you see this as a desire to see your head bashed in is way beyond me....wrong.

Here is one, He believes remission of sin is obtained through full immersion in water.

It is a real joy to go out and preach the gospel to others knowing that God is calling those who are seeking the truth about God
and salvation.
And through sharing the scriptures (and sharing my own testimony) those whom God is calling in to his Spirit-filled church
will believe and repent; and submit and obey; and undertake full immersion water baptism for the remission of their sins;
and experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the Bible evidence of speaking in tongues - a new wonderful spiritual
prayer language, that delivers through faith many blessings, healings and miracles.

The Spirit of truth that teaches and convicts; the Spirit of adoption; the Spirit of power; the Spirit of righteousness; the Spirit
of Christ …
Here is another, he believes water baptism is again where remission of sins occurs. In other words, our salvation is at the least begun at and through water baptism.

So John 3 when Jesus talks about water and Spirit isnt He talking about water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism?

I know some people interpret that as the being born of water means to them the birth but I wouldnt consider that because He is answering the question about being born Again. A second time. So we cant go back into our mothers womb like Nicodemus had mentioned. It seemed absurd. John the baptist when he baptized Jesus asked him why he was baptizing Jesus. He saif Jesus I must be baptized of you. So it was clear they knew a Spiritual baptizm was going to take place and Jesus would be the one to baptize us.

Water baptizm = remission of sins/ of the flesh kind of rebirth.
And Spiritual baptizm of the Holy Spirit the fire kind that fills and creates new. New creatures. The fullfillment of a born again in Christ.

Thats what I understand from John 3.
And this poster has said this many times, including today.

Do you agree with them that remission of sins for salvation begine at water baptism?

And THANK YOU for responding kindly.

Apparently, you aren't reading all the posts. It's been said in many threads that the baptism of Holy Spirit can before water baptism, with water baptism, or not affiliated with water baptism at all.
So those who believe water baptism is necessary for salvation are saying baptism of the Holy Spirit can come before salvation.
How is that possible?

Sister, your not understanding what he is saying to you. Your assuming things..Try to see what he is saying, and not take everything he says as an attack.

it has been noted your opinions are basically fronted by salacious videos and a keen liking for MacArthur but you are not honest

MacArthur has been critiqued both negatively and positively all over the internet. not everyone is in agreement with him

you know, I've watched that 'all Charasmatics are becoming Catholic nonsense video that was put together by Berean Research but are you going to bother to read this?

anyway, it's for anyone who wants to read it. MacArthur has many critics...even cessationists who do not like the way he paints everyone with his own broad brush
