I am not one to depend on a dream for direction or instruction, but the Bible reveals that sometimes God does speak to a person that way

I believe this dream I spoke of is from God because a false gospel is being preached in that thread

it is true that works do not save us and we add nothing to the gift of God. only the blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin

as those who understand, we would say be being filled with the Spirit.

so it appears a wind can blow out a candle and the smoke hides the truth from some

I don't make these things up. God speaks plainly and some do not believe what He says.

it is true some do not persevere. an early death may account for that

some have left themself nowhere to hide as the anger and mockery reveal what is inside...as Jesus Himself says it is not what goes into a man, but what comes out

and of course we know the scripture about the tongue...however in this case some are setting their own world on fire

No, Paul is specific that he is teaching. And when he is teaching, speaking in a language his audience can understand is much better than speaking 5 words of Tongues that no one can understand.

You really have to believe that Tongues has ceased in order to view these verses like you do. Because your answers reflect that of someone who has literally been brain washed. And that is a typical Baptist Practice. Just like Ty cobb said, I was once thought to have murdered someone, but it does not matter even if I did. Because as a Baptist, I am once saved always saved and can do as I want. That is pure Baptist Brain Washing!! Kind of how I see you interpret scripture. You are brain washed that Tongues has ceased!!

what some perceive of and call a miracle can sometimes be simply 'life in the Spirit'

You have to take the WHOLE passage in context. What paul says later shows what he thinks about this/ It is well known that people were speaking in unknown tongues that were not from God. That is the whole reason paul made this passage to begin with, in an order to attempt to correct the corinthian church.

One again, Paul said later, it is his conclusion that he will speak with knowledge, sing with knowledge otherwise what is spoken is unfruitful

Once again, Is it more fruitful for god to speak in YOUR language, you hear, You also see the result of that prayer in a miracle or some other means that answers that prayer. Or that God tells you in the prayer hs is going to bring someone or something to you and when you see him, Do this.. is there really something wrong with this? It seems by some this is an insult. How is that an insult?

While your right, God can do whatever he wants, no argument here, But God is also going to do things which edify and strengthens us, Not things which cause us to question.

I believe people start to do something they are taught and end up doing it so much and so long that they think it does something it really does not do.. Like the eucharist for example.. The blood and body???? Yet try to explain john 6 to a catholic. You can;t because they have had that belief engrained in them for so long, no one is going to change their mind, and to even say you disagree causes ones defenses to go up and they will never hear anything the other person says, EVEN if what they are telling them is the truth

Sadly. I think all of us have parts of our beliefs which we do this. And I know I had alot I had to break free from. Because God kept working through people to get me to see how wrong my belief was. All I had t do was open my eyes

1 cor 14: 13 Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding.

In conclusion, Paul can not contradict himself. He can not say in one place this is true, then later contradict himself by saying something which apposes what he said to begin with.

I did take it as a whole passage.
Just like I take things in context of what Yeshua stated.
But, you clearly are not reflecting how the Hebrew/Jews write their letters.
Study that and then go back and reread this passage.
You will see the proper difference then.

What you are reading is how the English translated and formed it into THEIR STYLE of sentence structure.
That is incorrect and you will never see the TRUTH until you know how to actually and properly read the Hebrew writers.
And Paul, someone who knew the Old Testament better than any Disciple, wrote in the format of the Old Scrolls.
But the KJV or today's versions, are not even remotely close to that format and structure.

If you are a student of the word, you must first understand how the WORD was even written!!

You clearly do not, yet...

people sometimes forget that a good translation would have the MEANING intact, the intention, the thoughts and ideas

and those same concepts are not always expressed in another language

English, is actually a limited and slimmed down version of language as anyone who speaks another language...say German or French or Italian, will know

I have no cause. I treat the WORD of God better than I do fine China!! I have a lineage of pastors and Bible teachers I come from that has broken this down for me. I just had to put it to the test and see if it for today.

But anyone raised where Tongues is taught they have ceased, will never believe they are actually still active today. So concerning you, I know what I am facing = men's traditions, brainwashing, and idealisms.

So nothing you say can change my views.

I ALREADY KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR VIEWS ARE OPINIONATED AND WRONG when concerning Tongues!!

NO, i was called part of the DEVIL for speaking in Tongues!!
I have the right to stand up for what is actually the TRUTH, whether you like it or not.

If I called you part of the Devil, you would not like it especially if you had 5 others joining me to attack you.

I never once said your beliefs are of the DEVIL or that you are going to hell.

If I am not allowed to defend myself, when it requires the powers of hell to manipulate a believer to believe another believer is of the DEVIL. Then I am just showing that My God Yahweh does not matter!!

I should take in proper context that not everyone will read the SAME VERSE and see the SAME RESULTS.
Typically, that means one has more insight or has been given a deeper revelation.
But nonetheless, we disagree on this matter and always will.
I am not trying to convert you, nor is it possible for you to convert me.
But either way, YOU NOR ME is a part of the DEVIL!!

Or it could just be that we see things different ways for whatever reason

We always have to be open that maybe we are wrong and see openly. Because if we are wrong it would be sad that we lived our whole life based on something that was not true

I am not talking about you. I have to live that also. That’s why I have been shown I grew up believing things I would have taught for only to find out that they were not true

It it would not be a good idea to think one has been given revelation and one has not. Last I heard we both follow the same spirit and he hopefully is in both of us
