I do think that the transformation is in the mind is what I am emphasizing and the mind is the controlling aspect of human thoughts, words, and deeds....and so when the mind is transformed by God, what might one expect to be the result? no guessing...the word is plain as the noonday sun... holiness, righteousness, the perfect will of God.
A process of growth and maturity SUBJECT to successes and or failures....the level of teaching, the kind of teaching, if they get MEAT or just MILK, truth, or watered down conflated false gospels.........and regardless.....NO ONE is ever completely sinless........because we are still BOUND in fallen bodies of SIN that are NOT subject to the word of GOD neither indeed can be......!!

FALSE.......more religious drivel with no biblical proof......HAHA wow......probation for humanity......yeah right!!!
...If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1 Timothy 6:3-5 Love of Money

This person is not really discussing but would love to rather insult, mock, attack, accuse...etc...to provoke and cause CONSTANT friction to fill his hunger for strife and division while CLAIMING all along that he is ETERNALLY SAVED and those who disagree with him are going to hell. But what does the bible say?

...Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6-7

Consider the words "be ye" that's reference to what you are and what you do stems from what you are....God tells us to BE holy, BE righteous, BE perfect (mature, complete).... Conversion is not evolution.

This SUBJECT to failures and successes is like saying SUBJECT to times of sinning and not sinning, and such ideas are not biblical

I am not antagonistic to you at all. I use CAPS for emphasis. I am just adding to what you said. I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding. :(

Who is hub? I was wondering about that before.
===================================================================
Mac,
thank you for your apology - humble is always a huge PLUS with us, along with good manners - MIC. 6:8.)))
but just remember, when someone expresses their heart-felt feelings,
we must accept them because it's really a matter of respect for the way that they have digested/feel
about what we say -
it's not hard, it's really just a courtesy at no cost other than that we Love them... -

hub is my 'husband' from The Lord, and often when we post, we are collaborating as 'one'...
:):)

The gospel does not transform the body....the gospel transforms the mind. The body is controlled by the mind which is controlled by love for God…..or said another way, by Christ in you, the hope of glory,

People confusing soul life salvation with spiritual eternal salvation over and over again ...then they preach salvation can be lost or needs to be maintained because they have failed to make that essential distinction. :(
Perhaps you see it like I do... "mind, will, emotions" [the "soul"] becoming more and more conformed to the image of His Son (i.e. progressive sanctification [the other being "positional sanctification"]).

Yes, very true, I also the salvation of our souls in that by being sanctified and living in the sanctified place (abiding) the less damage sin will do to us, we will be healthier in our mind, will and emotions.

Again never implied that it was.....so your point is moot.......and just because he states BE YE....does not mean that believers will automatically be that.......and too be frank....You are not honest with scripture in implying everything is automatic when it comes to Christian maturity, growth, transformation of the mind and or the additions to our faith that Peter implores us to add......

To be quite honest, and no disrespect meant, the above is quite a load of waffle and contradiction.
Methinks you over thinketh things.
You may believe that, but equally those who do not understand the issues, can often
simplify things too much. It is like when people say God loves you, or Jesus saves.

When I was a kid, I wondered why my family behaved in a particular way.
Now I know, and it is not simple at all. But then truth rarely is, and you only
find out when you try and apply it, and suddenly things become very different
and not as expected. God bless you

Well.....ESV is OK....Grammatically speaking I like the NASV.....but to be honest....regardless of translation I will always go to the Greek or Hebrew to get a more complete understanding of the word/verbiage.....there are nuances/verb tenses found in both the Hebrew and Greek that does not come across in the English translations.....

dear friend. read 1 john 5:9-12. if we say eternal life can be lost it makes God a liar. that is a serious offense.
true testament to God's grace is im not squshed like bug yet!
There is a problem with Jesus giving us His people eternal life.
There are some who will openly declare a christian cannot obey Jesus and follow His
commands yet claim Jesus has given them eternal life.

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
1 John 5:12

The sad truth is some connect the term eternal life, which is a promise to be with Jesus
eternally hinges on abiding in the Son. To not abide means to not have the Son of God,
so no longer to have life. This makes eternal life conditional on abiding with Jesus,
and not a once off one hit wonder with no strings attached.

False again PETEY..........the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable.....the problem is with religionists that make eternal life temporary and or based upon what WE DO........that is false, not of GOD, satanic and devalues Christ, his work and his gift....!!

I appreciate your efforts to devalue Gods people and exalt Christ beyond our ability to
relate or for Him to be our friend. I am interested in this approach because Catholic church
and the Orthodox Church make everything so distant and believers as failed sinners.

Gods calling is irrevocable to His people, yet not to an individual.
Without the righteousness of faith, becoming the purity and righteousness of the heart
which leads to the righteousness of behaviour the gospel is empty and without power.

The power of Christ and the cross is to build His people through the church and those who
love Him. Without Gods people we would not have the bible, or preaching or teaching or
fellowship and ministry. To exlude Gods holy people from Gods work is just being in denial
of the reality of how God works.

The whole reason for the cross is to purchase the Church to bring them fulfilled and shinning
at the time of the end of the world.

9 You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.
Revelation 5:9-10

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have
received from God? You are not your own;
20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Hebrews 12:3-4
