I would suggest you consider the cross of Christ. "and now when we, being believers, sin..." WOW!
Are you dense or just willfully ignorant?

Why does God chasten children?
Why did PAUL write to the Corinthian ASSEMBLY to correct 15 ERRORS?
Why does PAUL say he is the number one chief sinner among men in the present tense?

You have NO concept that BELIEVERS STILL SIN because we are STILL BOUND in a fallen BODY of flesh....

Get over it dude....you are false, your view is false and you are peddling that which is NOT biblical.......end of story

I have experience of these things.
As you appear to call these things theory, it suggests you do not.
This is unfortunate.
Not really, I asked YOU and you came back with "I think this is the question we all need to answer".

But now you are claiming that you do have some experience. This to me seems to be disingenuous when you just went on a ramble and then have the audacity to throw this back on me as if I "you do not".

"Talks a lot but says nothing" comes to mind.

I think you are misguided Bibletruth concerning your statement about true righteousness. It has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with the Cross of Jesus.

We can carry His Presence. But, our presence is nothing.

Look up every verse with the word righteous or righteousness in it. Christ within/ filled with the Holy spirit transforms one from sin to righteousness. Its not pretend. Its not make believe. Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Please consider how Satan's accusations are silenced....not by any lets pretend righteousness. The issue is the righteousness of God and His government. Take a look at Romans 3:4 and Psalms 51:4. Its super important and hardly any Christians have considered whats involved.

That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ . . . (1 John 1:3) If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. (written to believers) (1 John 1:5). (written in context of confession of sin)
I think you are going overboard here Mac.

I asked in regards to an unconfessed sin, John IMO is speaking to a life of sin and being in darkness. To say that some unconfessed sin is walking in darkness is something totally different.

Bringing in a third party, Barnes notes:

And walk in darkness - Live in sin and error. To "walk in darkness" now commonly denotes to be in doubt about our religious state, in contradistinction from living in the enjoyment of religion. That is not, however, probably the whole idea here. The leading thought is, that if we live in sin, it is a proof that our profession of religion is false

.22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the
deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. Mattjew 13:22
I don't think this is relevant to the discussion.

Look.....salvation is a one off event with eternal consequences......after one has been born from above by INCORRUPTIBLE seed we are eternally secure in Christ.....HOWEVER we are also dealt with as children and if we walk contrary will be whipped (chastened) which can include any of the following....loss of rewards, works of wood, hay and stubble burnt to a crisp yet still saved, ruined witness, being unusable by God, and even the loss of physical life......yet our birth is from above, held by Christ, sustained by Christ and he will lose nothing and will not forsake us or leave us for his name sake......

As far as the false gospel....PAUL as SAUL peddle that which was false and he was enlightened and then used of GOD........so........trust JESUS and set your face like flint and now make a stand on the correct message....

Before salvation OSAS says the wages of sin is death..sin is awful. After salvation they change the definition of sin..now it means not death but loss of fellowship. OSAS doesn't realize their sin is a declaration to God that they do not want fellowship with Jesus regarding that thought word and deed, and it is that choice to break fellowship that causes the loss of salvation.
I think you are overstating the OSAS case here, as I've seen many do before. It's almost a debating canard.

Either learn to quote. Or just stop. Adding your answer to someones quote is called adding to their post. And it is wrong

Your right, it has nothing to do with unpardonable sin. PAUL IS NOT TALKIN GABOUT THE UNPARDONAMBLE SIN. He is talking about SOMEONE WHO IS WITNESSED ONE COMMITTING A SIN, and THAT SIN LED TO HIS DEATH!

I know that is hard for you to comprehend, But it is time to start to study the word as written, not try to put your own spin on the word.

No doubt.....It makes both of us look like we said something we did not say....and I will never let that stand.....

John specifically says that we are not to sin. You seem to believe John's statement is impossible. John further states that IF (you
know what IF means...the bible has no idea of when or automatic sinning in a believer) a believer sins, a believer is to confess said sin, and God is just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (hmmm isn't that what God did when we first believed?)

Jesus was not dealt the spirit by measure as we are, JESUS did not have the sinful nature we have and JESUS never sinned.......get your facts straight......JOHN in the PRESENT TENSE said...
A few statements here I would question. Jesus was born fully a man. So he had the sinful nature
as much as we have one. If one accepts our sinfulness springs from our lack of communion with
God, Jesus did not have this aspect, being the essence of Holiness and purity.

By walking with sin, Jesus showed our problem is not our flesh but our communion with Him and
that alone.

This is the problem with thought Christians, they want excuses for their sin, sinful nature,
sin is impossible not to commit, it exists just to show us our failure, and cause us to rely on
Christ, and in Christ we cannot walk righteously.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8

We cannot say we have no sin, only God can say that, all we can confess is we have been cleansed
and made pure. It is sinful presumption to declare oneself sinless, and is thereby self deception.
How can we mortals claim to be able to judge ourselves and proclaim only that which God can proclaim.

Walking in purity and holiness, cleansed and made whole assumes we are able to be like this in Christ.
This is why we are anointed and made whole.

Again another lie from one claiming to be sinless.....you have no clue what we believe....and seem to be parroting some false drivel you swallowed from some other deceiver behind the pulpit......

LOL...I have claimed to be sinless? Wow
