9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders
10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11

If one stays wicked as Paul says
"means you have been completely defeated already" 1 Corinthians 6:7

The argument is simple, walk in Jesus's ways or one is lost without hope.

Lawless men deny Gods will and His ways.

Do you desire to walk in Gods will and His ways or just follow your own?

Ok since you want to be the authority in interpreting the scriptures using the MAN MADE OSAS LENS then maybe you could represent dcon who refuses to give his stance about lying to the Holy Spirit using the scriptures to prove your point and every OSAS followers point as a whole. And if everyone was saved the very moment they believed, can you show me scriptures that say that believers do not need to wait for Jesus to come a second time to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him, to be sanctified, purified, perfected, resurrected, glorified etc...because ONCE you are SAVED, you are ALWAYS SAVED?

What's wrong with this verse below according to OSAS?

...But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

Thanks and God bless.
Lying put of one side of your mouth and then pronouncing blessing out the other side of your mouth equals a dual souled man that is unstable in all his ways.......states alot about your so called salvation SEOCHE!!

you mean disconnected like someone who called the greek language that the N.T . was written in a " philosophy "?
disconnected like that ?
This is just miss-quoting me.
A word has a cultural meaning as well as a specific meaning in a religious context.
You cannot take a word like "sin" which has a philosophical meaning from Greek philosophy
and then project this meaning onto God, because the word is used which is greek.

You need to look at the religious context in which it is used which is Mosaic and Hebrew in origin.
It is this definition of sin that Jesus uses, and rather than denying this He reinforces the pharisees
view of sin and its boundaries, saying only they failed in not obeying their own rules.

Now this argument has no alternative interpretation, because it is 100% factual.

The problem is people would rather be greek in their interpretations of faith than hold to the
meaning the Father gave them.

Anyone who believes that salvation can be lost once received, are preaching a false teaching. There is only one way to salvation. That salvation, once attained, is sealed forever by the power of the HS and the promise of God Almighty

Amen Star....Jesus was clear.....many will come before his throne peddling the same drivel that Petey and Seoche peddle......bad day coming for them.......!!!

Faith and works

Faith is the knowledge and understanding works is the demonstration of this knowledge.
It is both in good works and words confessed.

Denying this is like saying a translator of languages is a translator because they claim to
understand the language but cannot show any meaning or proof of translation.

The reason one is a translator is to translate. If one does not translate for others, one is not
a translator. So a believer may believe but this is not faith until it is confessed and acted on.

The only reason people claim this idea, that faith does not have to show itself, is because then
you can lose it all and it is still real before God. But if something is real, then it cannot be denied,
and if something has taken place, people will not give it up.

So put simply those who walk away, do not know the reality of that which they claimed to understand.
And those who stay true, have grasped the reality of who Christ is and what it means, Amen.
Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness

He cannot help but falsely accuse....What does Jesus state about the Pharisees doing the works of their father.....just saying.........
dcon - do you follow the sermon on the mount and believe it applies to believers?

I must assume you do as you do not want to answer this basic statement of faith,
which every believer I know would say, I follow Jesus and His commands.

I have seen from real followers of Jesus, they know were people truly are when they
walk away from Jesus's teaching, and how hard a heart one must have to do this.

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1 Timothy 6:3-5

...The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 1 Timothy 4:1-2

At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. Matthew 24:10-13

...Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. John 15:4-6

...I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. 2 Corinthians 11:2-4

If you are a FREE bird on God's hand, will He let you go if you wish to fly away? Does God put us in cages and put chains on us like prisoners so that we could not escape Him? Isn't it that the bird that Noah sent out did not return after another seven days when it returned with a leaf on it's beak? (Genesis 8:8-12)...WHY?

...To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, and THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE” They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED” John 8:31-38

...What then? SHALL WE SIN BECAUSE WE ARE NOT UNDER LAW BUT UNDER SIN? By no means! Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, YOU ARE SLAVES TO THE ONE WHOM YOU OBEY—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to OBEDIENCE, WHICH LEADS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly OBEYED the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been SET FREE FROM SIN and have become slaves to righteousness. I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to RIGHTEOUSNESS LEADING TO HOLINESS. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been SET FREE FROM SIN and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap LEADS TO HOLINESS, and THE RESULT IS ETERNAL LIFE. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:15-23 Slaves to Righteousness

...LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU with empty words, for because of such things GOD'S WRATH COMES ON THOSE WHO ARE DISOBEDIENT. Therefore do not be partners with them. Ephesians 5:6-7
Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness

the Hebrew word for sin means " miss the mark ".

the greek word for sin means " miss the mark "

you keep purposely missing the mark by your own delusions of grandeur.

I have the right perspective.....and those that tie works to salvation to gain are keep are the ones lacking a biblical perspective......Everything you have said I have consistently said the 5 years and 5 months I have been here...The following verse should be the nail in the coffin of works for or to keep salvation and yet the religionists, Cainologists and workers for STILL PEDDLE the same belief that leads to tne MANY GROUPING that Jesus identifies....

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness

it would appear that we do have a choice of 'where we desire to be in The Kingdom of God' -
the scriptures we posted speak for themselves, so, 'who would want to be the 'lowest' in God's Kingdom???
to desire to take a lower position in God's Kingdom is contrary to God's Will for us, and what ever we do,
we have to do it with ALL of our MIGHT' - we don't 'work to be saved', we WORK to be (closer to our Saviour)...

How clear can it get.....ONE THAT DOES NOT WORK BUT BELIEVES....ONE would have to be willing blind, obstinant, deceived or just dumb to reject the truth of the following verse while taking JAMES out of context to peddle a salvation based upon works....

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness
Those who are counted righteous follow God and His ways, as a fruit of their faith.
It is not their works that makes them righteous, it is their faith, but their faith loves
God and His ways. To walk in sin and rebel means their faith is not real and is flawed.
This argument is exactly the same as the one John was having which is why he uses
this argument. If we are one with Christ, sin is not our friend but our enemy and we
will flee from it.

The argument is not there are not struggles but that the heart is set for righteousness
and God ways and against the ways of evil desires.

But those who claim lawlessness is acceptable to God, say rebellion does not undermine
faith or ones walk, it is actually a walk of faith that shows we need Christ more, but as
a forgiver of unrelenting sin, rather than as an example of how we must walk.

Romans 4:5 Is clear and absolutely proves that works have no bearing on salvation........
Israel was cut off because they were UNDER THE LAW and the blessings of that covenant were CONDITIONAL and based upon obedience. The old covenant pointed to CHRIST AND ESTABLISHED THE GUILT OF MAN AND HIS UTTER INABILITY TO MEET THE RIGHTEOUS STANDARD OF GOD REQUIRED UNDER THE LAW AND FULLY POINTED TO THE NEW COVENANT WHICH IS based upon grace and mercy.

We cannot forget that in part, and only temporarily, Israel was cut off so SALVATION CAN COME TO THE GENTILES.....and under the new way the following is absolutely true...

Romans 4:5 - But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness
...“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Revelation 3:1-3

Do you make Jesus a liar?

REMAIN IN HIM AND HE WILL REMAIN IN YOU...

OBEY IT, AND REPENT...

LET GOD BE TRUE...

You really believe you have a choice....interesting.....Jesus told the Sons of Thunder that the HEAVENLY FATHER will determine who sits where in the kingdom........not that we decide......a cup of cold water in the name of Jesus to a disciple does not go unnoticed and or unrewarded and carries more weight than a million works done under pretense and one for the wrong reason.....I disagree....GOD determines based upon his judgment....!

oh, I agree. I am just pointing out to followingpeterjensteps that we need to properly define what sin is before we start saying that " we walk just as He walked ".

DC, you are digressing -(are you saying that, 'we're SAVED, therefore we are DONE? -
accept who you are and what you have done and hopefully this will determine the choices
that you make NOW -
Jesus teaches us that He forgives and forgets, and we should do the same, as we
hopefully, prayerfully continue to grow and 'step-up His Godly ladder'...

we Love you very much and pray that we may learn from one-another in our
Love/Walk for our Precious Saviour...

N.T. definition is pretty plain, 'Sin is the transgression of the Law',
