EVERYTHING, especially HE PROVIDED SALVATION AS A FREE GIFT TO US, and PAID 100% of our SIN DEBT on the CROSS. THUS WE LOVE HIM ENOUGH to want to obey HIM as an act of THAT AGAPE LOVE FOREVER.
If we do not obey, we will end up in false denominations.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

HAVE you confessed the ERRORS in DOCTRINE that you have bee spouting, that create Contradictions between your so called theology, and the Holy Scriptures ? ? ?

I am just going to have to write out my testimony so people will not ask such things of me. I have confessed and repented of being in false denominations.
I wonder what would be too long of a testimony and if anyone would read it and whether they would trample it.

The plan for salvation was made before time began.

Of course REPENT is part of our salvation! Do you keep forgetting 'repent or perish'?

God isn't prophesying about each one of us. Jesus is stating a fact that if we love him we will obey him.

FOR THE LAST TIME, SALVATION TOOK PLACE WHEN CHRIST DECIDE TO PROVIDE A WAY FOR US TO BE SAVED, BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME.

OBEDIENCE, including REPENTING is NOT PART OF SALVATION, IT IS PART OF OUR AGAPE LOVE FOR GOD!

NO, you answered the call of a DECEIVING SPIRIT.

I cannot see how you ever get that being saved is not salvation, and how love can be done without obedience.

Actually, my answer gives the ultimate answer Christ Jesus.

Righteousness in the New Covenant is much deeper than mere good or holy acts and adherence to rules and regulations. It is the very nature of GOD (that energizes us to do those good things).

Also take note, unlike the OT, righteousness in the NT is not earned by men but given freely as a gift from God.
The new covenant is the fulfilment of the old, it is not something different.
God has not changed His way of dealing with mankind, and Jesus did not remove the moral law.

We have become Gods Holy temple, in the people of God, His purified and sanctified people.

Now this is a deeper realisation of Gods communion with man.

"mere good and holy acts" - this unfortunately shows a distaste to walking in Gods will and Gods way.

And no one ever earns righteousness, it has always come by faith, and because one believes we walk
as we do.

Did you know you only need ONE drink and you will never thirst again?
Listening to what is shared and how it is shared, there has been no drinking or certainly
no fulfilment of not thirsting again, rather the dominance of sin and the burdens of sorrow
and depression forever encroaching.

The Holy Spirit pours from my heart, as I praise Him and give thanks for all He has blessed
us with. Out of this blessing, is great joy, through the fulfilment of the cross to forgive my
sins and lead me into life everlasting, Amen.

So what act of obedience causes one to receive the Holy Spirit? See (John 7:38-39; Acts 10:43-47; 11:17,18; Ephesians 1:13). Choosing to believe the gospel is the act of obedience that causes one to receive the Holy Spirit and become saved. (Romans 1:16)

I often hear works-salvationists cite Acts 5:32 and Hebrews 5:9, then write a blank check with the word “obey” and fill in whatever amount of works they feel are necessary to be saved, but that misses the mark.
The act of repentance and faith in Jesus and the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.
The problem is what is the difference between saying words as if the words have power
and believing them. I know many who have said the creeds, and asked to repent, yet the
meaning of the words has never become a reality in their heart because they do not believe
Jesus actually came in the flesh or He was the Son of the Creator, let alone there really is a
creator.

So much confusion, so much personal denial, so much missing aspiration.

We are saved to what? To stay in sin and condemnation or to walk like Jesus?
It seems no matter the theology some believe staying in sin and condemnation is Gods way.

Some hunger and thirst after righteousness, while others condemn them as hypocrites.

But how are we to walk like Jesus unless we learn, listen and walk?
If you have a different way, please share, because Jesus and the apostles said we had to carry
the our cross and follow after Jesus.

It get the impression many do not understand the verse

And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:27

I think these words are gibberish to some, which indicates the state of their hearts that a
word from Jesus would appear gibberish. Nothing else can be said if this is ones state.

If you have the eternal stream flowing from your heart you will know the meaning of this

And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:27

If you cannot make sense of it, you do not have the stream of life flowing from you, by
definition.

Hi VCO,

Have you answered the Nazarene Statement of Faith?
It appears not, so these are men and women of God and you condemn them?

You have that right.....rank and file deep like the "Picts beyond the Black River"
Good morning brother in Christ,

We are saved to what? To stay in sin and condemnation or to walk like Jesus?

And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
Luke 14:27

Do we need to understand this verse to know Jesus? He appears to be saying so.

It is very obvious where your heart is if one is to go by what you post. Of course, only God knows for sure. But you take everyone's posts on here and twist, turn, pull out of context, to try and start an argument. You do not even seek to have a real discussion. Me thinks you are a troll.
Thats one of the reasons I refuse to even acknowledge him

Nobody is powerless to obey unless you have a mental disability.
Thanks, You just proved beyond any shadow of a doubt

1. You do not understand the word of God
2. You do not understand what sin is.

If anyone had a question, this should have put those questions to rest

Everyone who knows God knows that BEFORE salvation. We may be able to obstain from certain sins, Bit we can not do righteous deeds.

As scripture says, there are NON RIGHTEUS NO NOT ONE. Sndf ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT.

The HS comes to abide in the believer at the time of acceptance of the free gift of eternal life. No one can obey the Lord without the power of the HS and one cannot even be a believer unless they believe, love and accept Jesus the Christ.
God can not come in you UNTIL you have first been justified. How can he enter a body which is dead (spiritualy) and under condemnation?

I think that is the key- they reject the actual definition of sin.

I have told peter the actual definition of sin many times, he won't even mention it.

the other guy says he no longer sins, but makes " little mistakes "

There is obviously a total difference in our outlooks.
I am sorry the word of God is the fragrance of death.

To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God

The tax collectors repented of their sins.

Matthew 21:31 "Which of the two did what his father wanted?" "The first," they answered. Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.

Luke 7:29
All the people who heard this, even the tax collectors, acknowledged God's justice. For they had received the baptism of John.

Luke 3:12Even tax collectors came to be baptized. “Teacher,” they asked, “what should we do?”

13“Don’t collect any more than you are required to,” he told them.
lol

Ok whatever,

I am done..

You stand in front of God and boast of all your works. And pray he will not say he never knew you

I will stand in front of God and boast of HIS.
