I can give you more scriptures telling us to obey and what to obey.


The Bible calls it dead faith. That dead faith is not the most important faith ever known.


No, we are NOT saved by faith alone and then WAIT AND SEE if if was real if we obey after being saved by that faith alone.


No such thing as a genuine believer if you don't have right action with your faith.


The works that no longer save are the purification works of the law.
Just look at how many times PAUL SAYS CIRCUMCISION!
He is talking about the purification works of the law being no more; he is never says nothing against repenting of sins!

Calvinism does NOT preach faith alone. They preach you cannot even believe to get saved.

I was thinking about writing and posting my testimony.

However, for now, as I told you before, I believed in Jesus since I was a very young child, but I did not get saved until much later after I started to obey Jesus.

How can you say you got saved, when your still trying to save yourself?

So you disregard these multiple verses in the Bible (Luke 8:12; John 1:12; 3:15,16,18,36; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26; Acts 10:43; 13:39; 16:31; Romans 1:16; 3:22-28; 4:5; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 1:21; 1 John 5:13 etc..) and believe there is a list of further commands that we must obey after we believe in order to become saved?

I understand the difference between dead faith (James 2:14-20) and living faith (Ephesians 2:5-10).

We are saved by faith that TRUSTS IN CHRIST ALONE FOR SALVATION. Authentic faith results in obedience, so it's not about waiting to see if we obey after we believe. Genuine believers will obey and although all believers are fruitful, not all believers are equally fruitful.

No such thing as a genuine believer if you don't have right action with your faith.

Genuine believers have right actions, yet we are not saved by our actions/works which are produced out of faith, but by our faith in Christ. Perverting the gospel by teaching salvation by works is not the right action.

Here we go again with saved by "these" works and just not "those" works. Paul covers ALL works (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9). You cannot dissect good works from the moral aspect of the law (Matthew 22:37-40). Paul did not say that we are saved through faith and good works, just not circumcision in Ephesians 2:8,9.

Repenting is not a work for salvation. When we repent, we change our mind about our sinful position and need for Christ to save us and the new direction of this change of mind is faith in Christ alone for salvation. Two sides to the same coin. (Acts 20:21) Those who have repented will demonstrate their repentance by their deeds (Acts 26:20) and will no longer practice sin, but practice righteousness. (1 John 3:9-10) It sounds to me like you define "repent" as "become sinless" and salvation then becomes based on the merits of our performance in becoming sinless. That view stems from works righteousness/works salvation.

Calvinism does NOT preach faith alone. They preach you cannot even believe to get saved.

I'm not a 5 point Calvinist, so I'm really not too concerned about everything they teach.

So you believed in the existence of Jesus since you were a very young child (so have I) yet believe you got saved much later after you started to obey Jesus. So what exactly did you obey that you believe saved you?

If you were standing at the gates of heaven right now and Jesus Christ asked you why He should let you into heaven, what would be your exact answer? Will you be in the group on judgment day that says, Lord, Lord didn't "WE" or Lord, Lord, didn't "YOU?"

One day I was saved , next day I was not , I was a sprout blowing from side to side...
Then when I came in here and I was told I was putting the cart before the horse , it upset me , I realized that what I was talking about was not biblical at all , but speaking from my own imagination...

DCon , you and others kept going on about grace through faith , and not by works , so I went away and studied that , and by Gods Amazing grace He opened the Scripture up to me and everything fell into place...

The word of God should not be taken lightly , it is good to keep seeking until we have understanding , my heart is sad towards those who say works saves , no one is saying or has said we do not work AFTER we are saved , for God alone has works for us before the foundation of the world , yes we stumble , but thank God His mighty right hand , the power of God lifts us up to walk into maturity...xox...

God isn't prophesying about each one of us. Jesus is stating a fact that if we love him we will obey him.

Just listen to what you are saying; you are saying that faith alone saves but then after you are saved you will obey. HOWEVER, what you said is NOT scripture. Scripture does not say that. Scripture says we must believe and do a right action or that faith is dead.

We are not saved by faith alone and then watch and see if it was real.

I know many people who have faith and live their lives as always.

Why do you speak about obeying Jesus' words the way you do?

You make 'works' a bad thing when it is actually SPIRIT and LIFE and the Way to eat and drink Jesus.

This is really true, they do ignore the answer completely and then become accusatory.

Then that was thrown out the window because I would think of the things I did not do then wait for the beating and worrying that God had enough of me and basically would unadopted me.

So now the things that I did not do and I now do I thank God for.
And the things that I did do but I knew I should not do and now do I also thank I'm for.

So I can't give credit to myself but can only thank God for what he has done in me.

That's why legalism is so dangerous, not just for non believers who have yet repented. But true believers. Satan wants to take us out any way he can. If he can make us doubt god even a little. He is on the way to winning
