I beg to disagree.

We can't eat of his flesh and drink his blood (I'm talking about communion here and not transubstantiation) if the Holy Spirit is not in us.
Yes many do but if they are not believers the Holy Spirit is not in them.

We can take communion as belivers after we have the Holy Spirit in us and it's personal.

Communion is not obeying to be saved but it is in rememberance of what Jesus has done for us.

And I say it's not to be taken lightly.
this same guy you are interacting with said a couple of days ago that " it is sometimes a sin not to get married.

that prompted me to put him on ignore, and I just looked to see if was the person you are responding to, and it is.

God's grace is unmerited favour.
If we could earn his grace then it is merited.

God gives the gift of unmerited favour to those who believe in him.
...but faith alone is dead.

Jesus wants us to believe that we have to obey him.

For thousands of years the people only knew of God, and then He comes to earth as a Son of Man named Jesus and we are to go through Jesus does not mean obeying means to only have faith.
Okay, let's go through this slowly.

John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world
That is about God loving His creation. That is not about us personally, because God does not even have a personal relationship with you until you do what He says: 1 Corinthians 8:3 But whoever loves God is known by God; and 2 John 1:6 And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands.

that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Luke 3:13 I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Do you believe Jesus that unless you repent, you will perish?
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Jesus says he saves those who obey him.

18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
See, their deeds were evil and they didn't want to repent of them, didn't want to give up sinning.
20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light,
See that, there are people do right and they want to come to the light because they have no problem wanting to stop sinning.
that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
All good is from God, and the people who did any good, wanted it known that it is all God.
Are you a proponent of 'Lordship Salvation?
No. I think the Lordship preachers are Calvinists.

Hi gb9, my answer would be the correct answer -- I am not "sinless" but from the time I was born again up to today. "I-sin-less." Sinless Perfectionism is a lie, but holy living is a life long pursuit of the believer.

The self-righteous modern day pharisee's think they can merit or work for their eternal life. A life long pursuit of holy living is our "daily walk with Jesus", it is how Christian's live out their life in a practical way and have fellowship with Abba our Father.

Romans 7:15 -- Paul said this about struggling with his sin;
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do

Romans 7:24,25 Paul's conclusion about the struggle with his sin.
24) What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25) Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.
Oh TT.

You are not sinless.

And you only want to sin less.

Well that's you off my Christmas Card list.

Yes I noticed that.

You replied and asked but a clear response not given and you were accused of said person not saying that by someone else.

If memory serves me Paul said it's better to not get married and serve the Lord but get married rather than burn with lust.

Something like this.

Hi Budman, No condemnation for those who are in Christ, all of our sins, plural, are forgiven, past, present, and future. The clincher is that all Christians need to confess our sins daily and sometimes moment by moment if called for, so that we maintain a close and meaningful relationship with the Father.

Our position is secure we are justified by a Holy God, all sins of commission and omission are forgiven and "we cannot lose our eternal salvation" but of course you know this already. However our relationship needs confession of sins so that we have an intimate loving relationship with Abba our Father.

The correct answer to your question is, "No you cannot lose your salvation."

Romans6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

1John1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness
God bless you brother. You proclamation of confessing sins daily I say amen to.
And it is refreshing to hear. Among others I have not heard this for a long time.

Often things that divide us are not actual divisions but our attitude to sin and evil
very much can be. For many they reject confessing sins or even recognising them.
So God bless you brother

Believing in Jesus is as drinking his blood; and, obeying Jesus is as eating his flesh.
After we drink his blood and eat his flesh, Jesus gives us water to drink, which is the Holy Spirit.

I am not talking about getting together to eat the Lord's Supper in remembrance.
I am talking about how to enter the covenant of his blood and to eat his body, the bread of life.

Language can be a problem here.
I could say unmerited favour is giving someone something without any expectation what they
do with it. So to give someone a large sum of money would be unmerited favour, because the
receiving person can do what they like with it.

But Gods gift in Christ is very much that we obey and follow Him. It is the reason for the gift
to open the door, and would never have been given if no one would ever walk the way.

But to emphasise the gift is given not because we are better than others, but just so that
we who were sinners can become members of the Kingdom of Heaven. So who receives
the gift is unmerited, because all can walk through the door.

Now if Christ are we divided or split, or do we not worship, serve and follow the same King.
So is our love big enough to bridge the gap of expression and emphasis and see God embraces
so many different types of people, until they stray too far away. I am still learning how wide
He blesses, because His heart and love is so generous, but He does withdraw as well, like
King Saul, called but failed in obedience.

The sin of unbelief in Jesus which he said the Holy Spirit must come to convict us off?

And when we repent of that sin and place our faith in Jesus and make him Lord then we are sealed by the Holy Spirit?

Let's start with this and not go further yet.
You say that guy like to discuss, so let's discuss the above .

Where did I say it wasn't?

In fact I posted a few back where I said he works in us to conform us to the image of Christ

Okay then, how are you going to get that food in you if you don't do actually do something? Jesus’ body is the bread, the bread from heaven, John 6:33.
Maybe eating the food is doing something for a genuine beliver?

No. Boasting about the cross in praising God for wht he did..

Pauls focus was on Christ and his redemption. Not how good a person he (paul) was..
... I WILL NOT VENTURE to speak of anything EXCEPT what Christ has accomplished through me IN LEADING THE GENTILES TO OBEY GOD by what I have SAID and DONE— Romans 15:18

John 14:21 The person who has my commandments and obeys them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will reveal myself to him."

Psalm 119:100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.

2 Timothy 2:25 correcting opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth.

John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him, "If you continue to follow my teaching, you are really my disciples 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Blah, blah, blah.....listen pal....you are another working for deceiver.....end of story....the fact you claimed a special revealed knowledge that most do not know and or few know places you into the deceieved fake fraudulent grouping.....so far and in almost every post you have made you have twisted the word of God in such a manner that makes you totally unbelievable.....and your refusal to identify who you associate with speaks multitudes to us all....!!!

Jesus said away from me you evildoers. It didn't matter that they said they cast out demons and prophesied in Jesus' name if they never repented of their sins to get saved.
More ignorance on your part....try again...they believed in the same bogus gospel you peddle......
