Mr. Perfect

The only way our righteousness will exceed the Pharisees and Sadducees, if to be clothed with the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

A pure heart is one in love with Jesus and then is awakened to the love of Father, for we realize then just how much we are loved by God.

Not that we won't lose our temper and speak angry words, but will have a repentant heart. Or whatever else our temptations may be. They get less as we walk with the Lord. Growing in grace and the graces of a Spirit filled life.

Is Father going to be horrified by our failures when He gave His Son for them before the world was created? He wasn't surprised by Adam and Eve because He knew the serpent would come.

He made the answer before the failures.
Hi Stones,

Paul is saying two things. We strive, we run, we learn, we aspire pushing forward, each step, one step at a time.
We only know when we meet Him how well we have done, but there is never a sense of compromise.
So aspirations can get lost in pride and boasting. If you can embrace this, amen.

But some use this like a check sheet, or a way of condemning or bringing one low and exalting another.
So we need to see this is Gods word and what He says about us and rejoice in this. Until all is made clear,
all we see is how to encourage and how to bless and serve. Praise the Lord. If I saw more I could not cope.
When I praise in church, if I can uplift my heart to God Amen.

He has taught me not to look at struggles of others, but the work He has already done in them, and the
expectation of how much further He will take them. It is hard, but how does He look at me? I hope with
the same eyes of grace and mercy, Praise the Lord.

Yes. I know this.
It's within us because it's not a place we could go to...it's more like a dimension.

I was just making the point that some religions teach that God is IN US, in the sense that we are like little gods...and that God is in everything...

Christianity understands this in a different way...we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us but we're not little gods.

I've never been able to express myself properly with the above idea....
(Unbelievable!! ) I hope you understand what I mean.
This "little gods" thing is about creating with our words. We can make or break another person with what we say.

I do know that the miraculous that Jesus performed translates to manipulating time, space, order, rank.

What it means I won't speculate.

I believe that the kingdom of God will be coming literally in the future and taking out all earthly kingdoms:

Revelation 11:15ff !

Already, but not yet!

I agree we are not gods! Those verses are twisted by the word of faith crowd to the extreme!
I want to get them in the ring, see if a regular man can beat a self-proclaimed god! im betting on myself! Look out for the word of faith heretics! They're wicked!
Can't argue with a fighting man!
I agree with all....

I'm not anybody's judge. Just judging words written or spoken according to the little I know. Or perceive.

And I could be entirely wrong, but am sincere.

You say a lot of good things. But perfection? Paul was wanting to be crowned with life too. I believe that was what Enoch gained. Did he just walk with God? That's not hard. Doesn't take perfection does it?

We are perfect in the Son. And I believe as we believe this, we honor Father and He is pleased. Why?

Because it was Fathers plan to give us Son. It's much easier too to be in another's goodness not trying to produce our own. Is rest and peace, then easier to react with grace.

Perfect in Christ

I hear a cynic in my ear, yer sure thing, you and who else lol

We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.
Col 1:28

Paul is teaching everyone with everything he can to make them perfect in Christ.

Wow. When you do not look for it, it is not there. But when the Lord lays it on ones heart,
at the right time, there it is, waiting.

Of course we are perfect in Christ through grace and His forgiveness. But as mature men and women
of God, He has taught us to walk so we reflect His nature and path, perfect in Christ, a song of victory
and power. And the world declares empty and void, deluded and impossible, yet God declares they
are my people and this is their walk. Amen, thank you Jesus for the cross and the victory this brings.
Perfect means made whole. Galatians 5:5 says by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.

The Seven Mountains of Societal Influence
In 1975, Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With a Mission(YWAM), developed a God-given, world-changing strategy. Their mandate: Bring Godly change to a nation by reaching its seven spheres, or mountains, of societal influence.

They concluded that in order to truly transform any nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, these seven facets of society must be reached: Religion, Family,Education, Government, Media, Arts & Entertainment and Business.

The Reformation Prayer Network’s primary goal is to be a catalyst, through prayer and righteous activism, which will bring change to these areas of societal influence.

There's a leader in this now who is in connection with our President. Good things are happening in America.
What a great idea! And yes, you'd have to infiltrate all those societal influences to get anywhere...the church will not be able to do this along.

I left there a pretty long time ago,,,,things were going badly and I think it's gotten worse over these years. Does reformation refer to reformed theology or the reformation they'd like to achieve?

I've always thought we can't go back...but it would be so nice....it would take at least 2 or 3 generations....

Why do you think this Hev? The things I've heard have been good. They teach the righteousness of God in Christ.

That verse does say "perfect IN CHRIST"....
I don't know anybody on this thread that says it's possible to be perfect...
I think it's what others are hearing....

No one is perfect. It's a goal,,,we could aim for it...
Jesus meant to be perfect morally like our Father in heaven is perfect., in love like Father is both moral and love.
He knew we couldn't be perfect.

This is not aimed at me....but I have some reasons why.
However, if you're WoF, I'm not going to start a back and forth...

That was the beginning of it. It's Lance Wallnau that I learned about it from. He's written several books, is on Facebook. I think periscope too. And he has a website. If you Google him, will find easily.

I believe definitely that we have promises from God, and can stand on them as He gives them to us.

I don't just pick out what God has written and say this is personally for me. He gives me the Word. So not sure what I am. Faith in the Word I do believe!

Why did you give me an "old"??
We never spoke about this.

If God speaks to you and you receive,,,God bless you.
He does this to all of us at one time or another..
Gotta go.

Our motive is to be used as His instrument.
The Holy Spirit is our helper.
Sometimes, however, we even have to do what we don't want to do.
I don't particularly like some persons in my life, but I always tried to love them and treat them well.
Was this work?

I agree with all you've said,,,,but I also know that work IS part of our salvation and I really fail to understand the problem with this.

Maybe it's called good deeds?
I do think we should obey God....

Hebrews 4:3, 7
“… only we who believe can enter His rest … but those who first heard this good news
failed to enter because they
disobeyed God.”
Work has nothing to do with our salvation. The only reason we have access to salvation is because of the mercy of God Almighty. Through His Son Jesus Christ, God gave humanity another chance. Salvation is our gift and all the work for it was done on the Cross.

An old website? I couldn't think of Lances name right away. That came up with just seven mountains teachings.

"whenever we do anything for God"

Here is the standing back approach to our walk in Christ.
We are Christ on earth, His body, His witness, His presence.
Everything we do is for God, not just occasional acts or efforts, everything.

Do everything in love.
1 Cor 16:14

Motive.

Amen....she constantly peddles a vanilla works based self saving dogma that devalues Christ and lifts self effort......My Jesus saves to the uttermost and keeps me by his power through the faith he begins, finishes and completes....her jesus needs help to remain faithful enough to keep oneself saved....that is not the biblical Jesus
Without the work on the Cross done by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, there would be no salvation for anyone

I'm a sinner saved by the Grace, Mercy of God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth. I have no idea why God loves me but I'm so very grateful He does.
