1PETER 3:15.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you
a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Amen! Besides perverting the gospel, twisting the scriptures, sowing seeds of doubt and deception, along with attacking those in the OSAS camp and resorting to slander, what is his purpose here? Apparently, that is his purpose here. You know....I love the truth and absolutely despise those that devalue the truth, Jesus, his power, his promises, his WORD........I know I cut a few on here no slack and say very pointed things, harsh things....I may apologize for my tone, but I will never apologize for my stance against those that peddle false gospels and or those that cannot be honest or those that embellish things we say beyond what we have said.........Eternity is at stake for those on the fence and or those that have devalued the work of Jesus on our behalf.....and untold millions pour into hell anually because of ignorance and or false religion!
We already have, but you only see what you want to see. You are not fooling me or any of my brothers and sisters in Christ on Christian Chat and your true colors are obvious.Just show us where in the bible can we find a verse which says that "SALVATION was IRREVOCABLY given ETERNALLY".
That false accusation is the epitome of IRONY.You're so proud of yourself and your behavior is so FAMILIAR.
...If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain. 1 Timothy 6:3-5
You are the master of IRONY. Jude is exhorting believers to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (vs. 3) because certain ungodly men who have crept in unnoticed. Jude further describes these ungodly men as ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit (vs. 19) In CONTRAST to those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and PRESERVED in Jesus Christ (vs. 1). Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, and does not forsake His saints; They are PRESERVED FOREVER, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off....For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord. In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings. But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” Yet these men speak abusively against whatever they do not understand; and what things they do understand by instinct, like unreasoning animals—these are the very things that destroy them. These men are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the men who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. Jude 1:4,8-10,16-19

So where does it say that it's IRREVOCABLE?You really must be dense.......or wilfully blind to the truth. Notice he does not say temporal life based upon performance and he uses the verbiage NEVER PERISH.....you obviously do not know or believe in the Jesus of the bible!!
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

Yes, that is exactly what Jesus says. Without doubt or reservation or limitation....
yes,,,I do agree with the above. If the Kingdom of God defines itself by two principles love and doing Gods will,
then His people must to the same.
Now if His people do not love or follow His will they are no longer His people, even
though at one time they might be.
To have free will is to be able to choose. To know love is to be able to hate but choose
not to. So innate within the Kingdom is the potential for death and Hell.
Anyone who has not realised this is the foundation of the Kingdom has not walked in it.
It is how Jesus deals with us, and communes.
Jesus is simple. He does not judge, His words He has spoken will judge. It is because His
words are plain, it is our unbelief and the shock of what they imply that we find too hard.
But Jesus has made a way to a King just to see you drop dead. Holiness is terrible, dangerous,
deadly, fearful, destructive, impossible. But the arrogance and conceit of some is breath taking,
not because it affects us, but because it will affect them and their eternal judgement.
I am very careful, and I know not careful enough. I am weak and broken, a humble servant of
my King. I have no pride only awe and wonder at His word that flows daily through my heart.
But resist the word of God, you take your fate and judgement into your own hands.
Who said we were not to work or to obey Jesus? Work because we want to do for Him. Obey as best we can, which we can only do by the Holy Spirit within us. What we cannot do is to work to "keep our salvation." What we cannot do is to obey Him under our own strength 24/7. The most important thing is our "motive" whenever we do anything for God. Is our motive to get praise or is our motive to be used as His instrument.

Ok, jesus also explained the parables Himself, and he did not always speak in parables. Thats not even rightno he never you never had a bible , till around 2000 ad, so with voice is out of the question, so you read it and opt out of the dates give in my quoted ,
jesus only spoke to the crowd in parables , the apostle filled in the gaps to what had been said to them.

I made a commitment to not respond or like any post directed at a one of our three previously banned members. I planned on leaving altogether, but a few asked me not to. So...Here you go people of this wonderful thread. FollowHisSteps is truly "A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing Clothing."
It is only his sugar coated flowery language that is a cover up for his deeply rooted anger.
Use caution ahead -- counterfeit gospel at work.
Amen....she constantly peddles a vanilla works based self saving dogma that devalues Christ and lifts self effort......My Jesus saves to the uttermost and keeps me by his power through the faith he begins, finishes and completes....her jesus needs help to remain faithful enough to keep oneself saved....that is not the biblical Jesus
The key to understanding the (seemingly)->contradiction<-(not one) between James and Paul is found in the willful rejection of and or ignorance of the context of both statements....
Paul's application of faith is before God-->a man is justified by faith <- the just shall live by faith
James is dealing with our inward, invisible faith being seen by MEN by our works
Justified before God by faith <-The just shall live by faith
Our faith justified (seen) before men by our works
There is no contradiction....Salvation which is eternal is based upon faith I.E. acknowledging Jesus as Lord and Savior by believing that God has raised him from the dead for your ETERNAL justification, salvation, sanctification as payment for your sin.
The works are the result of that salvation which is ALREADY possessed by a believer....as a matter of fact was given before the casting down of the world.......!
DESCRIPTIVE OF BELIEVERS. Be sure to go back and read posts #90,444 and #90,449.Here is some truth.
Here is who will receive eternal life on the Day of Judgement -
God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, Romans 2:6-8
- eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
