i have answered this question so many times I have lost count.
the sheep belonged to the Shepherd, i.e., MY lost sheep.
the sheep was lost, not dammed.
A simple observation about fruits.
A new member comes to the thread and says exactly what scripture says.
He is attacked, and slandered.
Does that mean those who say they are spiritual, driven and obedient to the Holy Spirit
are condemning a word given from God?
Or are these people so caught up in an argument and the feelings that go with a group,
it is no longer about the Lord, but us verses them. This should be enough for brothers and
sisters to wonder what they have become and what they are doing.
I fear though, conceit has become established and hardened hearts are hardening.
If this happened to me, I would hope Jesus sent someone to help me break out of my sin,
and that I would repent and humble myself before the cross and reestablish my communion
with Him, because this is the only eternal way to life. God bless you, dear brothers and sisters
in Christ.

Jet setting to australia is a long way to go when you have the caribbean on your doorstep.
Is this like Pauls missionary journeys or is it actually just holiday, continuously on repeat?
Many people on cc appear to have very little to cope with for daily life so I wonder is this wise

The thief on the cross could not manifest good works, yet Jesus said he would be with Him in paradise.
Many good works are done by intent and conversation between people, it is not just physical actions.

so let me put this into some perspective that is on-topic with the thread.
some of y'all ((i guess me too? tho not as much)) have been hanging out in this 90,000 post thread for two years now. two years you've been talking about this subject, examining all kinds of scripture and arguments, sometimes in excruciating detail. you have conclusions that you've tested over and over, and you've seen the same arguments come up again and again.
now someone new comes along and mentions James. they don't realize, or don't respect, that y'all have heard this 100 times. from their perspective, they are like, 'ha! how dumb can you be? it's by works, i found this verse in James!'
to them, they think they've discovered an obvious fatal flaw that we've all overlooked.
to us, it's obvious that they need more than a shallow understanding and to see it in its full context, and to see how it reconciles with 50 other scriptures.
this is how the 'oh it's cold out, so global warming is false' comment is. it's not a slight against you by any means, just saying, you have a very small amount of knowledge about climate science, but others have a large amount -- and they surely haven't failed to notice that it's cold. there are explanations, but you'll have to look at the whole picture in a more complex way to understand them.

it's been pressed on my heart that i need to be gentle in correction, and patient, and hospitable. to be nicer, without being yielding.
i think that touches on the place a number of us find ourselves, with regard to this thread -- having seen the same arguments over and over, to us, some things are very clear, and we can be cross & short with others who haven't spent two years on this topic. i want to be kinder and more loving with them. i don't want to stir up bitterness or drive wedges between brothers and sisters over what may just amount to different levels of growth, study, and understanding.

I was going to involve our Church this morning so our congregation could pray for the young man but decided at the last minute to wait until I talked to you for more details about the young man's spiritual well being.

I have already found all those things.....called by grace through faith and the eternal life and justification because of said grace and faith.....
