Faith check box
How many drivers drive using a multiple choice question and answer exam?
How many airline pilots would you fly with if you knew they only knew the theory exam?

Knowing the right answer to the right problem at the right time is a life and death situation.
Funny how actions become rather important at those moments and not just head knowledge.

If life is lived alone, in isolation, where only ones own needs and issues matter, it is easy to
think this is all there is to life. Be part of a functioning family, and you will see it is a lot more
complicated, and difficult to describe.

We are a body, and if you have not woken up to this yet, you need to spend more time with Jesus.

You actually threw me there for a few moments with your post. So I went to the Hebrew. Better Godsgrace101? lol

Romans 7:4

Thus my brothers, you have been made dead with regard to the Torah through the Messiah's body, so that you may belong to someone else, namely the one who has been raised from the dead, in order fir us to bear fruit for God. For when we were living according to our old nature, the passions connected with sins worked through the Torah in our various parts, with the result that we bore fruit for death. But, now we have been released from this aspect of the Torah because we have died to that which had us in is clutches, so that we are serving in the new way provided by the Spirit and not in the old way of outwardly following the letter of the law.

We are to present ourselves a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable to God and reckon it's true that we are dead to sin but alive to God. We were changed instantly when we were born again. Taken from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the Kingdom of Gods dear Son.

It's our hearts desire to be like Jesus, and be loved by Father. He does...and we do. This is better than forced labor. Paul was painting a picture for his Jewish brethren, but taking all scriptures together, we find the truth.

Circumcised of flesh by heavenly hands, on the 8th Day...the day of new beginnings. The day of new life in Jesus. Of course He leads by His Word, and by His Voice. And we flow in His gifttings. We love it!
That is exactly what Paul was addressing in chapter 6, but still serving the law only in spirit. The letter of the law never could be followed perfectly. The law is good: Rom. 7:12 "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good."

Jesus was giving us instruction on the spirit of the law in the Beatitudes (see Matt. 5).

He saved us from all eternity at the point of us receiving our glorified body. God is outside of time.
He saved us for all eternity before he cast down the world in creation based upon his foreknowledge of our conscience decision to acknowledge His SON by faith that he gifts, begins, finishes and completes....

...Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that NO ONE WHO BELIEVES IN ME SHOULD STAY IN DARKNESS. “As for the person who HEARS MY WORDS BUT DOES NOT KEEP THEM, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. THERE IS A JUDGE FOR THE ONE WHO REJECTS ME AND DOES NOT ACCEPT MY WORDS; that very word which I spoke WILL CONDEMN HIM AT THE LAST DAY. For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I KNOW THAT HIS COMMAND LEADS TO ETERNAL LIFE. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.” John 12:44-50

...My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the RIGHTEOUS LIFE THAT GOD DESIRES. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and HUMBLY ACCEPT THE WORD PLANTED IN YOU, WHICH CAN SAVE YOU. Do not merely listen to the word, and so DECEIVE YOURSELVES. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but DOES NOT DO WHAT IT SAYS is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but DOING IT—he will be blessed in what he does. If anyone considers himself religious and yet does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he deceives himself and his religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. James 1:19-27

...Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him AS INSTRUMENTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Romans 6:13

...God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that IN HIM WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Heretics don't go to heaven.
2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.

Romans 11:6 (NASB)
6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.

Ephesians 1:11-14 (HCSB)
11 We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will,
12 so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory.
13 When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.
14 He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession, to the praise of His glory.

1 Peter 1:3-5 (HCSB)
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
5 You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Titus 3:5 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Doctrine does not save anyone.....btw
You know there was a time when the majority of those who claimed to believe in Christ, believed like us.

Now I have seen a dramatic change to the opposite. And now I think we are seeing these verses being fulfilled:

2 Peter 3:3-4 (HCSB)
3 First, be aware of this: Scoffers will come in the last days to scoff, living according to their own desires,
4 saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? Ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they have been since the beginning of creation.”

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (HCSB)
3 For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.
4 They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 (HCSB)
3 If anyone teaches other doctrine and does not agree with the sound teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that promotes godliness,
4 he is conceited, understanding nothing, but has a sick interest in disputes and arguments over words. From these come envy, quarreling, slander, evil suspicions,
5 and constant disagreement among people whose minds are depraved and deprived of the truth, who imagine that godliness is a way to material gain.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (NRSV)
1 You must understand this, that in the last days distressing times will come.
2 For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, brutes, haters of good,
4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to the outward form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid them!

Colossians 2:4 (HCSB)
4 I am saying this so that no one will deceive you with persuasive arguments.

WE ARE THERE. EVEN SO COME LORD JESUS!

Put it this way

If paul feared losing salvation, most of his writtings are utter nonsense, in fact we may as well just take all his books and throw them out and burn them, because that is about how reputable they are, because paul is one of the most contradictory people ever known

Paul went through being stoned and left for dead, being shipwrecked, beaten jailed most of his life, and through all these sufferimgs, in his word he considered them all a light affliction which is momentary when comsidered against the eternal glory which is to come.

Paul could not say or believe these things if he thought for even a second there was any possibility of him losing salvation in the future, noone could because no one knows the future.

You want paul to comtradict, and a bible that is useless, feel free

And as far as you yelling, chill out dude, of course paul wants people to examine themselves,

Once again not eveyone who claims to be gods child IS GODS CHiLD.

You wanna earn your salvation, feel free

As for me and my family, we will serve the lord without fear, because we know in the end, GOD WILL WIN, and he wil NEVER LET ME GO.

You need to study up on what seperates us from god and get it into your head that every night you go to bed, every day you wake up, you deserve hell, because you have failed to live up to gods standard.

When you do that, you will finally see what paul saw. And understamd the teue undeniable grace of god.
Yelling?????? What are talking about? Could you hear me yelling at my phone???

I find nothing wrong with Mailman's posts, but I find NUMEROUS errors in interpretations in yours.

How certain are you to have YOUR INTERPRETATIONS examined by the same Expert in the GREEK?

Personally, I would expect him to say:

View attachment 194399
I did write ''genuinely unbiased''. Then there is your interpretation that only in the fourth example in the parable of the sower did people ever get into a saved state. You know what I think, too much head theology, and not enough discernment

Some people, in reality believe in a trinity of Father, Son and the bible. How can you spot them? They will happily discuss with you subjects like osas, fillique, pre trib rapture, trinity, faith and works, and many of them will eagerly turn to the greek and concordances when doing so. They normally end up doing cartwheels with the plainly written word. But if you ask them to explain in their own words passages of scripture, do exegesis of them, expound on what they are saying, without the greek or corcordances, they tend to ignore it.

Or, in relation to my previous post, if you quote Hebrews 10:16&17 and ask someone to do an exegesis of the foundation of the new covenant, explaining what is written and its practical implications in the believers life, you may get a response such as:

''Let me tell you pal....yanking two verses out of the midst of HEBREWS which was written to JEWISH believers that wanted to go back under an inferior way to PROVE or ASK for my view on the foundation of the NEW COVENANT does not qualify as a valid question.''

Indeed, sound doctrine will be ignored, it will not be tolerated. There was a time when the majority of those who belonged to Christ accepted a whole message/bible, and the warnings given in it, alongside the encouragements. How will people ignore what they do not like in the bible? One way is to claim reputable English translations do not really mean what they plainly state. And people will dart off here and there, wherever necessary to overturn the plainly written word. Some of us will not accept teaching of those with itchy ears:

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 1T1m4:1

The cart before the horse GOD WILL WIN, and he wil NEVER LET ME GO.

This assumes God has truly got our hearts and we know Him.
John answers this question.

This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.
1 John 2:5-6

So we need to look at our hearts, attitudes, walk and approach, and then we will know.
God will never let go of those who are in Him.

Many including myself will say, "How did Jesus walk?" It is not an simple answer and takes
many years to start to work through. For those aiming at staying sinners, and not following His
example, these questions never enter their minds. But then they never listened to Jesus or know
His words in their hearts.

Salvation based on acknowledging Jesus's work.
Even the demons acknowledge Jesus's work, it does not make them saved or in the Kingdom.
You can know what has been done, and be on the wrong side.

This is a question the apostles were always answering. Who we are and how we are matters.
Being in the body, walking in Jesus, being an ambassador, having the reality of the Kingdom within,
is but the beginning.

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy
Heb 1:9

Paul did not say work to earn your salvation, he said work out the salvation that is already in you.
Amen! In Philippians 2:12, Paul said to "work out" your salvation and not "work for" your salvation. When we "work out" at the gym, we exercise to develop our body that we already have and not to get a body. Farmers "work" the land, not in order to get the land, but to develop the land they already have.

There are 3 tenses to salvation that often get mixed up by works-salvationists. 1. We have been saved from the PENALTY of sin (justification). 2. We are being saved from the POWER of sin (ongoing sanctification). 3. We will be saved from the PRESENCE of sin (glorification).

The Greek verb rendered "work out" means "to continually work to bring something to completion or fruition." We do this by actively pursuing the process of ongoing sanctification. Sanctification is the process of being set apart for God's work and being conformed to the image of Christ. This conforming to Christ involves the work of the person, but it is still God working in the believer to produce more of a godly character and life in the person who has already been justified by faith.

Verse 13 goes on to say - "for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."

For real...I have been BORN again from ABOVE by INCORRUPTIBLE seed dia grace through faith....SALVATION is a present current POSSESSION.....wake up pal....
Amen! 1 Peter 1:23 - having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

John 5:24 - Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has (PRESENT TENSE) everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has (PRESENT TENSE) passed from death into life.

It is not simple
"Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?" Num 20:10

"Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them." Num 20:12

Moses knew God, yet failed to honor the Lord.
Those who know little tend to boast and claim the greatest truths because they are totally unaware of the truth and its implications.
