I am at a point now where I just do not want to be a dumping ground for his misery. He has been married now for about six weeks, and he is starting in again about *stuff*. I told him last time he spoke to me that he needs to find professional help to bring his problems to...don't know if he will, but...
Sometimes love is setting boundaries about what is and isn't okay in relationship/ friendship.

Perhaps if you guys do stay friends just ask to change the subject whenever his romantic relationship comes up.

God bless.

Thanks for this. I am setting a lot of boundaries about it. We remain friends, but I will not be the dumping ground anymore. Changing the subject seems to be a great start! I plan to continue to recommend he get professional counselling. (or go to his pastor for support)... again, thank you, and blessings to you too!
