so, do you keep the Law of Moses?
What is immoral, sin; to which the Decalogue and those commandments and statutes showed, we keep (guard) because they part of us through Christ.
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Blotting out the handwriting to the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(Col 2:11-16)
It was blotting out of the handwriting
to the ordinances that were against us. Not the ordinances themselves but the handwriting to them when we broke them. They were them that were against us. Not the ones that point out what sin is and was. The Decalogue and those ordinances contained in the handwriting (the Book of the Law) that showed us what sin is now written in our hearts, minds and mouths.
Herein is my Father glorified, that we bear much fruit through this Sanctification. So Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ, the Word, all that GOD would have us be. HIS Commandments down from above) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ, (the Word, all that GOD would have us be. HIS Commandments again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (Christ; the Word, the commandments manifested in the flesh, Our flesh) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, in thy heart, and in they hand: that we may do it; that is, the word of faith, which we preach. And that is the Gospel, the Kingdom of GOD within you. For GOD hath said, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them." And HE shall be our GOD and we shall be HIS people. For it is GOD that works in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure, Christ (the Word, His Commandments, GOD's will ) in you the hope of Glory!
Romans 10:6-8 and Deut. 30:11-14 Sept. are speaking the same premise as of that which is found Hebrews 8:10,11 and Jeremiah 31:33. It is just worded different. The Gospel, the New Covenant, GOD's Grace.
