Bible skeptics, looking for contradictions...these contradictions are there...they are just apparent contradictions. You see, bible skeptics are really looking for truth, but trying to prove that the bible cannot be trusted as the word of God. There is a solution to every apparent contradiction to the bible believer.

How do you know when what you're reading is in error?

Why read any bible if you believe it contains errors?

Anybody who reads the KJV should know it doesn't match the Greek and Hebrew in hundreds if not thousands of places.

Why do I read the KJV?

Because I see Christ and his character and personality from cover to cover.

It has no errors and I won't waste time arguing that point. The only "error" that I've seen that I don't understand yet is Ahaziah's age and I'm sure based on past experience that this no error either. Sometimes God waits for years before he shows me the truth about a supposed error.

The book has God's signature of inspiration on it. There are patterns and language structures from cover to cover that defy explanation and are not humanly possible to accomplish.

Yes, there is a solution.

1. It is a scribal error
2. My interpretation of what one part of the two appearant contradictory passages is in error.

No one has ever found a scribal error. Or even translational error that changes the gospel. So the gospel is intact. Yet people will still defend one translation over another till the death.


Its all kind of nuts wouldn’t you say?

Those are tests of faith, they're stumbling block verses. The one and ONLY thing God wants from us is to believe him. Abraham believed what God said and it was counted to him for righteousness.

Are we to convince people to trust the gospel from a book that lies?

A faithful witness will not lie.

It did not lie, it is a scribal error.

Using this line of reasoning. I would never be able to trust ANY bible. Because ALL english bibles as per you lie. (You have been shown many of the KJV errors, but you deny them because you can not admit your bible has an error)

An error is not a lie. it is an error. (Which can be resolved by going to the origional language texts)

But we see how LOW people wil go to protect their belief system at all costs

Many "so called" errors. All "so called" errors can be reconciled with truth.

In your bible, how do you know that "scribal errors" are found all throughout? How do you even know which verse you can trust and which one you can?

We see how low people will go to prove God's word cannot be trusted 100%.

If it's in error, why not change it to tell the truth? Seems simply to me.

I just don't get hoodwinked by double talk. Any witness that does not give the TRUTH is called a FALSE witness.

Truth? Whose truth? Yours? King James? The english church? The roman church? The baptist Church?

Again, Thats why God left us the origional language copies. Which are numerous. So we can find these so called errors. If we take the time, and everything is satisfied.

I do not blindly follow any english text. Because I know the english anguage flaws. If I want a deeper understanding (no matter what bible I use) that is where I go.

I trust Gods word 100 .
I just do not trust an ENGLISH translation from the 1600 which has PROVEN flaws 100%. And anyone woudl be a fool to think otherwise.
