Let's see - you have just been attacking p_rehbein and now me, calling us rumour mongers. Are you even old enough to remember when this happened? And what was reported in the news?
And then we are "gossips?"?? I think not!
What I do see is a very angry person attacking long time members. Oh, were you a banned member returning? Your MO sure sounds familiar. (Not that I keep track of all the dysfunctional people here on CC.) You do seem to have some serious grudges. I hope you can learn to forgive people, even if they do not apologize. Because that is what God commands us to do.
"But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be liable to the hell of fire. 23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." Matt 5:22-24 ESV
"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matt 6:14-15 NIV
Both verses from the Sermon on the Mount!

What I do know is that what you've said doesn't make anyone other than you look bad.
Angry? You don't mean anything to me for me to let my passions go there.
What I recognize is you deflect your responsibility for wrong doing to the furthest extremes. Even bringing the sermon into it. If you knew the truth about Ms.Elliot being the gossip and the truth are all decades old, and you went with the gossip, you're then demonstrating you are opposed to the truth and decided to ignore that so as to keep this discussion side tracked by a lie about a dead woman.
I tell you what, this is from first John chapter 3 and verse 9.
No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
You'll have to come to a point where you are able to apologize and then realize only then are you worthy of forgiveness for your wrongs against others. After arriving at that level you'll be ready to find out what repentance and regeneration mean.
