Let me ask you the same question. Do you believe this is telling us that we can and should reach for sinless perfection?
I think that scripture points to a state of mind that no longer is comfy in sin, because it no longer is who we are. I think it is this fact that brings sanctification and growth. We should definitely be, naturally, in Him, sinning less and less, finding new right standing norms.
I hope you are ok with me responding.
Thanks for answering Ma’am, well the bible is not about what I think, I’m not the author of the bible, God is the author of it, so it is about what He thinks..
I do not wish to impose this on anyone, I also do not wish to contend, because the bible is for edification, for reproof, for correction, which is able to make us wise unto salvation, neither do I want to forcefully convert someone to believe what I believe, it is a matter of choice. I choose to,
God gave us choices to choose from, so also, do I freely allow anyone to choose.
Therefore, what God told us about this, I’ll stick to it.
These passages do answer the question, Not me, God Answered the question(s) already..and also gave us examples.
All in KJV.

So if I continue, I’ll bring answers from every part of the scripture, because the scripture is one.
I believe sin is unrighteousness.
I believe in God. I believe He is able to do what he alone can do in our lives.
I believe God cannot lie to us, So I believe He’ll do in our lives what He has promised, because He never fails.
I hope you find the answers in those scriptures.
